York Bird Of Prey Centre is home to over 80 Stunning Birds Of Prey. Including owls, vultures, hawks, falcons and even eagles! We pride ourselves on giving a HANDS ON EXPERIENCE here so we have an exciting daily program which includes flying demonstrations, regular educational talks, and the opportunity to handle our birds throughout the day. We offer one to one experience packages which gives customers an experience they will never forget, we are also available for outside events such as school visits, weddings and other functions. Sponsorship packages are also available for all of our birds, and we do run several special events throughout the season such as car shows, and photography days! Check out our website for further details! Please note we are disabled accessible, we have an onsite cafe serving cold food and hot drinks, unfortunately dogs are not allowed on site. We are also closed on Tuesdays and would also close in severe rain and wind. Please contact us for any further information!

Visited as a couple to do the 90 minute Hawk Walk - but we also experienced a flying display that included peregrine falcons, owls and eagles. The staff (who are mostly volunteers) couldn’t have been better - knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Big Andy accompanied us...More

My other half took the plunge, and got me a half-days' bird experience for my birthday. It wasn't cheap: £45 a head. But it was very definitely worth it. We had a proper tour - just the two of us - round all the birds...More

Visited the Centre and a lot of birds were available for hands on experience. Needs some updating and financial input to make it worth the entry fee (£9).

I agree with the other answers. Reasonably wheelchair friendly, but the staff will ensure that you are able to get about.

You can visit the center at any time with your entry ticket, however, you can't start your visit, have a pass out for your afternoon tea and then finish off your visit.
