I will concur with most everyone reviewing. Driving there I was looking at seeing maybe a private house with four animals, lol . But to my surprise after getting in I was rather impressed. Except for the reptile house, this was very small with 4 or so animals. Three snakes and some turtles. But the rest was very very nice including... More

Well until today had not realised this zoo was so close to us in Peterborough - we had a great time. Lots of interesting animals that look well cared for. A gem of a place and I will definitely be visiting again and spreading the word!

On arrival This park looks shabby. The car park could do with a major overhaul and the entrance looks tired and old. However this place is a little gem in the countryside. It's like the tardis, bigger on the inside. The animals are not forced on display so sometimes you get a no show but thats the way it should... More

I don't have kids but if I did I'd bring them here. It's great for a relaxed day out with friends. It does not come across commercially driven so you don't feel over charged . Wow the tigers ! Close up view of all animals in well designed layout and the animals don't look cramped. Staff so friendly and it's... More

This park is about four miles on the far side of Sawtry from the A1, so a little out into the country on a winding road. The range of animals on display was very impressive, including some rarer ones, and they seemed well cared for and with adequate living space. There is a little train that runs round the park—an... We were deciding what to do with our 4 year old granddaughter who was spending a couple of days with us. The weather was good so we visited this zoo. It had been several years since our last visit with our own kids. Pleasantly surprised. Well set out plenty of room and activities to keep younger kids going. Evidence that... More

The muddy, uneven car park is the worst part of the site, so don't be deterred! Once inside, there's a good shop, simple but pleasant cafe, great children's play area, and loads of animals! You're almost guaranteed to see a species that you haven't heard of before - there's a very wide range of animals, birds and reptiles. You can get... More

This is a lovely place. Outward appearances on first arrival were a little uninviting but reading reviews it was expected so don't give it a thought. It was a very cold, snowy day so some of the animals unsurprisingly tucked up. Nice setting, walkways covers helped shelter us so a great idea. A nice place with ongoing work to improve... More

We decided quite late in the day to visit Hamerton. In the time we had we still managed to see all the animals that were out in their enclosures; some were obviously hiding from the cold, but we still managed to see plenty, the lemurs were particularly active. It does also get quite muddy, especially the car park so wearing... More

As others have said, this place looks pretty uninviting from the car park! However, it is a lovely little place with some great views of unique birds and animals. We were pleased to see that a lot have breeding firsts for the UK, and there is obviously work going on to make the animal enclosures even better. The covered walkways... More
