- Anna S1 contributionPerfect day out.As a family we love Greenwood we have an adventurous one year old how loves the mini green run, moon buggies, all the adventure parks, all the animals, the river ride and her favourite is the bounce pillow! The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It is the perfect day out no matter what the weather as they have an amazing soft play as well. Definitely recommend it for anyone who has an adventurous child.Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so glad your family, especially your adventurous one-year-old, enjoyed everything from the mini green run to the bounce pillow. Our team aims to make every visit special, and it's great to hear we hit the mark for you. We appreciate your recommendation and can't wait to welcome you back for more adventures. - Shari FGwynedd, United Kingdom100 contributionsWell worth a visit!A great park & soft play area and definitely worth a visit. The staff were really friendly (Ela & Cai) and helpful. The cafe is located within the soft play area so you can enjoy a drink whilst the kids have a great time playing. Plenty of activities/rides to entertain everyone within the outside area. My 5 year granddaughter had a great time and I will definitely vist Greenwood Park again.Thank you for the lovely review and five-star recommendation! We really appreciate you visiting us and hope you can come again soon. - Joanne WLiverpool, United Kingdom10 contributionsA great family day out with children over 1 metre.A lot of activities for older children, however my 2 year old (daredevil) granddaughter was too small for most of the activities she wanted to go on (even with an adult). I appreciate that there are health and safety guidelines to follow though. We did find that the unsupervised activities for children under 6 were being used by older children quite a lot, which meant longer wait times for her to use the activities which she was big enough for. All in all, we found it to be a good day out and would definitely return once she is big enough for the big stuff!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 March 2024
- Kimberley M18 contributionsAlways a pleasure!Always a fabulous time, the staff always go the extra mile and are very friendly and patient. It really is the staff who make the park they are attentive and helpful! We love the new small petting zoo section and the improved tubes. The duck pond is lovely and the area really lends itself really well. However the alpacas and sheep and pigs just need to go. The conditions are not suitable and it’s actually sad to go around this section. Please review your ethos and values you need animals that will suit the environment eg geese or different species of water foul. Everything else is lots of fun and we missed Gatland the wizard, bing was good fun but Gatland brings something magical to greenwood! Again a big shout to the staff as you really do have the patients of a saint! The food in the cafe as always is amazing and good value!Hi Kimberley - thank you so, so much for leaving a response. We're so pleased to get such lovely comments and we shall feed these back to the team, who all work so hard to create a magical experience for our guests. With regard to the animal paddocks, the amount of rain we have experienced over the past few months has been a challenge for the ground saturation. However, you’ll be pleased to hear we have now completed upgrades to the sheep enclosure, and improvements to the drainage within the other animal areas is well underway too. It’s really important to us to make sure that our animal family is well cared for, and as such we work alongside welfare experts regularly to make sure we have the very best environment for our animals. You will start to see some noticeable differences soon, and hopefully a bit more sunshine! We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Michelle W50 contributionsGood family day outBooking easy, access good no major ques. Roller coaster wasn’t working which was disappointing but these things can’t be helped. Activities easy to get to. Weather was kind but could imagine it been thick of mud if it had rained. Soft play area was good. Cafe side was a little disappointing. Service was very slow. Tables left untidy for too long. Staff seemed to be more focused on getting the food orders out rather than drinks orders. No acknowledgement for our wait time when eventually did get served.Good afternoon! Thank you so much for leaving some feedback, and we're really pleased that you had a great day. We appreciate your comments regarding the food service. Apologies that you had a bit of a wait to receive your meals. - Claire from Warrington7 contributionsGreat day outA wonderful family day out. We went with our 8 and 4 year old children for Easter and they really enjoyed themselves. The sun was shining so no need to head for shelter! Located in the forest and the environment has been carefully considered. Shame the Dragon ride was having technical problems so we didn't manage to get on it but even so, there was much more to do. We would definitely recommend a visit.Good afternoon - and thank you so much for leaving a review! We really appreciate your feedback, and we're really pleased that you had a great day. - Bagel jHuddersfield, United Kingdom13 contributionsFun for families of all agesReally fun family day out from age 7 to 87 in our group! Clean, nice size, small enough to see and do everything a couple of times. Plenty of seats, really pleasant woodland environment. We ate at the cafe which was really nice too, friendly staff. Only small thing with it being an environmentally friendly place it would have been nice to have more recycle bins. Highly recommended for a fun day out.Hello Suzy! Thank you so much for such a kind review. We are made up that your family had a fantastic day! - _sullivan_annaManchester, United Kingdom2 contributionsGood outdoorsy place to take the kids but needs some work to iron out waiting times. We visited Green Wood Forest Park whilst on holiday in Llandudno. We enjoyed the rides and there was a good selection of things to do. We went with two 4 year olds and as they were over 1m in height, they could go on most rides/activities accompanied by an adult. There weren't massive amounts of staff members on site and some queue times were slow as a result. The Forest Glider only has a few rings suitable for two people so there was an initial wait for these and there was no sense of urgency to get people clear from the bottom of the ride which in turn lead to delays setting people off at the top. The Moon Karts were unmanned so there was nothing stopping people staying on there as long as they wanted so there was a big queue of frustrated people waiting with no end in sight. There were two abandoned Mook Karts with flat tyres which also didn't help with the wait, we gave up after a while. We did enjoy our visit, but for £25 per head, we were expecting a bit more organisation and fluidity in operation.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 4 April 2024

They loved every second there and found so many wpnderful things to do and rides for all the family. The cafe itself was also very handy for a sit down whilst they were out playing. This park has the potential to be 5 stars, but when we arrived at the park 7 attractions were shut, with government guidelines being the reason. However, all government restrictions at this point had been lifted so there was no excuse as to why they were shut?! Make sure you take a picnic as the cafe was shut, so kiosks don't open until midday so as you can imagine queues were very long. I think a discount on entry would have been fair based on the amount closed. The rollercoaster is short and the queue very long. On some positive notes: Great parks, the water ride was so fun.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. Some areas of our park remain closed in order to more effectively manage social distancing and keep all of our guests and team safe in these current circumstances. Because some areas of the park are closed and, due to social distancing and increased cleaning, waiting times can be longer we have reduced our admissions prices for the entire summer, so the discount had already been applied to all guests. We really appreciate all of your feedback.

Paid £36.75 by paying for our tickets online which worked out cheaper than buying at the gate; this was for a disabled child, carer and full adult price.
The park is quite small but the other kids seem to have fun, this is where it gets hard for us as a family. We have an autistic child with ADHD and the majority of the attractions you had to queue for long periods of time for less than 40 seconds on a ride, this was the slides and roller coasters. There is no fast passing for children with special needs and the majority of the time I had a child who wanted to go on an attraction but physically couldn’t wait the time frames because of his condition. Baring in mind it took us 30-40 minutes to queue for a rollercoaster ride which lasted all of 40 seconds. And then a further 15-20 minutes for the water slide.
They serve food on site; however it is quite pricey and not very nice. We paid £11.75 for a vegan sausage roll, and a hotdog with two soft drinks. The hot dog was disgusting, my partner who is not a picky eater said even he couldn’t eat it! I tried to queue a further four times at different stalls to get an alternative food, but the queues were significantly long, and in several places they were severely understaffed. My third time queuing a customer in front was that fed up they just ordered pre packaged sandwiches with a whopping price of £4.95 each. Chips, pizzas and other hot food where a 20-30 minute wait that wasn’t taking into consideration other customers wanting to order food.
The only plus is that you can take your dog around the park; however they must be kept on their lead at all times.
I personally do not recommend Greenwood, it’s not very well organised, not enough attractions for the price, and the food is nowhere near up to par for the prices they charge; above all it isn’t disabled or special needs friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to share some feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed following your visit to GreenWood.
At GreenWood we recognise that some visitors require additional assistance in order to be able to fully enjoy their visit to the Park, and we offer our ‘Ride Assist’ service, intended to help our visitors who are unable to queue for our rides.
In regards to our food outlets on site, this year has been challenging with technical issues, and we are working hard on updating our offering.

We had been looking forward to our visit. We are a family of 4 with a 6yo and a 8yo. I had taken a school group 12 years ago and it was nowhere near as good as I remember it being then. At least 6 or 7 attractions were shut due to covid but no discount on entry was given which I feel it should have been considering so much of the park is shut. It was a windy day too so throughout the day other rides were also closed early. The queues were really long and my 8yo only really liked the roller coaster and solar splash but the queues for these were around an hour each. So £60 for 2 rides and a few adventure playgrounds felt like a bit of a rip off. Its a shame because it has the potential to be great especially with the environmental ethos.

Thank you for taking the time to share some feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed following your visit to GreenWood, however we do have information available on our website to explain which areas of the park are currently open, we also understand that it can be frustrating to wait in queues however due to social distancing guidelines currently in place to keep our guests and staff safe, there are some slightly longer waiting times. In order to account for this, our admissions prices for the whole summer have been reduced.

My kids loved this place and it did have a lot going for it but (and it’s a big but..) it’s grossly overpriced for what you get. Firstly be warned…their website is not up to date so you don’t know what is and isn’t open…despite covid guidelines saying indoor activities can open, they have chosen not to open these at Greenwood…so there is a lot of things including the softplay and cafe which remain shut (despite them not having any price reduction). The new Giants Quest activity referred to briefly on the website is actually just a playground with a giants face..nothing more.
The next main problem is the food/drink situation. With the main cafe closer you are reliant on the 3 snack places. However waits were around an hour to get anything hot (i have no idea why!) and they ran out of so many things by mid afternoon…Coke? No. Ribena? No. Milk for tea/coffee? No. Sausage rolls? No. At one point the one snack bar was selling milkshakes, water and that was about it!
I thought the toilets were substandard…a lot of the taps not really working and not the cleanest. The barefoot walk had no cleaning facilities working at it so there was a sign saying that instead you could do it in shoes!!! As a result there was no mud etc to walk through…just a bit of straw and some sharp stones!
I thought it was astonishing that they could charge extra for things like the tractors and diggers when we’d already paid the best part of £100 entrance fee. Talking of which..why do adults have to pay so much when they can only really go on 2 rides (which with covid restrictions in place meant queue times for said rides were 45 mins +)??
Essentially kids will love this place as there is plenty to do, however you could get this sort of excitement for cheaper elsewhere of a higher quality.

A great day out for everyone. Considering we are local, we are DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED to find we can't renew our annual passes. Apparently due to COVID they can't offer this?? What a load of rubbish. Staff tried fobbing off multiple local customers with this excuse. Shame on you.
Maybe a honest answer of trying to claw back revenue we have lost would be the more appropriate reason.
We used to visit often but now what's the point when we locals keep you afloat throughout off peak months, buying from the cafe, rides, shops etc.
Why not offer locals the opportunity to buy the season passes proving their address and ensure you have an income in the off peak months!!!
We won't be back until the annual passes are back. Shame on you!!! We had been coming for years and condiering the price of the annual pass, it's greedy to not think about your local custom.

We're glad to hear you've enjoyed many days out with us at GreenWood! Our annual passes are currently on hold because due to the many lockdowns we experienced last year, we have extended any existing passes to make up for any time lost for pass holders. We are also in the process of updating our annual membership offerings and will be sure to announce any updates on social media!

Really not the day we had looked forward to for so long.
There didn’t seem to be any sense to the running of the rides.
Very disinterested young people left in charge who had no enthusiasm or common sense. Some times they might let 3 or 4 go on a ride from different groups, the next they might just let one person on. No consistency or sense.
The queues this caused made the whole experience painful. And so many things breaking down! Standing in a line for something that isn’t even working but no communication to customers.
Over charged at the snack bar, by a member of staff who then tried to say we owed even more money because the transaction hadn’t gone through, we logged into the bank and showed he had in fact taken too much but then he didn’t know how to refund us. 3 members of staff and 30 minutes later we still didn’t have our refund and weren’t prepared to make a 6 year old wait any longer. No one had a clue, not one person had the capacity to problem solve or provide any level of customer service.
Our son stood in line 30 minutes to go down a green slide which then didn’t work and a member of staff dragged him down by hand so roughly that he tipped backwards. I had to demand he be let on again to try and have the experience he waited in line so long for and that was a battle, just no sense of customer support.
The best bit for us was the den building, out of the way with no one else around and no queuing!
The staff really let this place down.
Would absolutely not recommend or return.

I hadn’t been to Greenwood since I was a wee girl but I’d heard great things and decided to book as a 4th birthday treat for our daughter. We really weren’t disappointed. A few activities were closed for various reasons but we never ran out of things to do. We arrived at 10.30 and left at 4.30 so made a good day of it. Our daughter had an absolute blast. Her favourite activity changes every time we ask but highlights were the Great Green Run, water slides, rollercoaster and the giant bubbles! The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was lovely to hear so much Cymraeg being used too.
We also took our 5 month old in her pushchair. Everything was totally accessible and there were plenty of changing facilities available. Obviously most activities weren’t suitable for a 5 month old so my husband and I spent a lot of time waiting around with her whilst the older one went on rides. It’s such a lovely, relaxing setting that neither of us minded the hanging around! (Little one very much enjoyed looking up at the trees and the giant bubbles).
We ate at Greenwood, getting a burger, chicken burger, chips and a kids bag to take out for dinner and ice cream and cake later in the day. Food was delicious and good value. There were plenty of places to sit and eat.
I felt totally comfortable with the provisions to deal with Covid. Everyone was armed with disinfectant spray and everything was spotless. It was very quiet so easy to social distance. Masks were worn in the indoor food areas and on the rollercoaster - the staff were great at politely reminding people.
I would highly recommend Greenwood / Gelli Gyffwrdd for young families. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We visited the park since the COVID 19 re organisation. We are a family of four with a 9 month old and 4 year old. There was plenty of parking when we arrived.
In hindsight I would have left my 9 month with another family member as myself or partner had stay with him whilst the other went on the rides with our 4 year old.
Our 4 year old could go on most things with an adult. She struggled with some of the parks though.
A few things were closed due to covid 19, such as the bouncey hill and barefoot trail. Due to covid 19 there was extra cleaning of rides and altered queing. This meant though long wait times. On average we were waiting an hour per ride which was hard work with a four year old. She also struggled with some of the parks due to her size.
Overall we had a good day but we wouldn't rush back for a visit.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We believe that GreenWood offers a great day out for the whole family, however the majority of our activities are targeted at 3 - 11 year olds, under 3s come free and, while we usually have more activities on offer for this age range, many of these are still closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We're glad to hear that you still enjoyed your visit to GreenWood and appreciate all of your feedback.

Brilliant park, so much to do! 2 teens and a toddler there all day and still feel like we could have stayed longer.
Magic show was very good, light hearted fun.
Take some cash for inside for stuff like like ride photos( £2 each ) and ride on tractors (£1)
Would also recommend packing a towel…was drizzly the day we went and while that doesn’t stop us, a towel would have been useful 😂
The whole place has the feel of good fun,
Highlight of our week without a doubt.
Staff were amazing, definitely worth the money.

Unfortunately we had an upsetting incident on one of the rides... the Solar Splash. Before booking the tickets and seeing that it was over £15 for a 3 year old I checked on the website which rides she would be able to go on as I felt it was quite pricey and quite a lot were closed due to refurb (not covid!).
Seeing the website says that children are able to go on the Solar Splash if they are 3 years old OR 95cm I assumed we wouldn't have a problem as she is over 3 years old so booked it. Unfortunately after queuing for quite a while and my daughter getting very excited the member of staff refused her at the front as she didn't quite make 95cm. I showed the member of staff the website and our ticket confirmation that she is 3 years old and she called the manager down and he again refused her on but did admit the website wording is indeed wrong and should infact say that children need to be 3 years old AND be 95cm tall.
I have emailed the Head office and they refused to refund her admission ticket as a 3 year old for their mistake on the website.
It's such a shame as we spent over £100 on tickets and lunch here and they gave us 4 free drinks and an ice lolly which in noway amounts to the price of her ticket.
So please be aware if you have a small (smaller than average) child over the age of 3 years old they will not be allowed on certain rides that the website states they can even when you have paid for their age admission!!!!

Are there height restrictions on the rides? Would a 3 year old be able to ride most things? Thanks.
Written 22 September 2020
Yes, there are height and also age restrictions on some of the rides. For example, children under 3 or under 95cm are not allowed on the Solar Splash.
For the Green Dragon Roller Coaster, children under 97cm are not allowed. For children 97 - 120cm, they must be accompanied by an adult.
Great Green Run: no restrictions, and there is a Little Green Run for younger children.
Some rides are closed due to Covid.
Hope this information is useful.

Is there enough at GreenWood to occupy teenagers (13 and 16 years old)?

Hi, is there anything there for an 18 month old or would it be too old for him?
Written 6 August 2019
Hi is this suitable for adults who just want to have fun or is it only for kids?
Written 3 August 2019
I didn’t see any adults on their own without children it’s more for family’s the adults can go on all the rides thou probably best to call them to check before booking

Are there queues for the attractions? We are considering coming on Saturday, during August and wondered how busy it gets?
Written 31 July 2019
We queued for some rides last week but not for long. I think the longest queue was 15 minutes

Personally I think the park is aimed at younger children, that’s not saying if you are in the area and visit they would probably enjoy themselves. I wouldn’t make a special journey.

Pls can someone tell what the height restrictions are across the park?
My daughter is 4.5yrs old but very small for her age I dont want her to go herr and be disappointed (as were at cbeebies)

Hi! thanks for the questions... Dogs are allowed onto the park as long as they are kept on a short lead, friendly towards others and there are no issues with persistent barking. As dogs must be supervised at all times, we do ask you not tie them up and leave them unattended. Dogs (with the exception of Guide & Assistance Dogs) are not permitted in the Woodbarn. We do have an undercover eating area on the Park.

My 4 children range from 8 to 15, most of the reviews sound fantastic for the younger age range but what about the older ones?
Is there an upper age limit/height restriction on some of the attractions?
Written 26 August 2018
There is plenty that older kids can do / are allowed on. As a father I went on several things! I would caution that older kids might find it a little boring though, depends on your child's tastes I would say. Not really any 'thrill' rides at all.
