Great family experience...fantastic service
Jun 2021
We had never visited before so did not know what to expect. On booking via the website (nice and easy by the way) it seemed slightly expensive for the five of us but it was really worth every penny. This place is a really nice, friendly and fun experience and great value. Its very original and perfect for the children ours are 5 , 7 and 9. There is a new wooden climbing experience called the giant. The children loved it. Nice seating area too. Its got a downhill sort of water ride...more fun than you think even for the parents. The staff were very friendly and we got to chat to a couple of managers and tell them how much we enjoyed it. The best thing about Greenwood is it feels relaxed. It was busy but not too much. They have had to introduce restricted amounts of people so its really safe. Clean and bright. The weather helped. We went on Saturday 12th June for a weekend away. Definitely recommend. Got a bit lost looking down the back roads for it so check the address. Definitely recommend and will return.

Great day for kids!!
May 2021 • Family
We spent an amazing day here recently. So much to do for your children (and adults). We had a problem with ordering food as after 30 minutes we were told they had ran out!! Anyway we got our money back and went to a different kiosk but the whole process took almost two hours out of hour day and the food isn't great. I would advise to take a picnic. Despite this we would definitely return.

Could be great, but….
Jun 2021 • Family
My kids loved this place and it did have a lot going for it but (and it’s a big but..) it’s grossly overpriced for what you get. Firstly be warned…their website is not up to date so you don’t know what is and isn’t open…despite covid guidelines saying indoor activities can open, they have chosen not to open these at Greenwood…so there is a lot of things including the softplay and cafe which remain shut (despite them not having any price reduction). The new Giants Quest activity referred to briefly on the website is actually just a playground with a giants face..nothing more.

The next main problem is the food/drink situation. With the main cafe closer you are reliant on the 3 snack places. However waits were around an hour to get anything hot (i have no idea why!) and they ran out of so many things by mid afternoon…Coke? No. Ribena? No. Milk for tea/coffee? No. Sausage rolls? No. At one point the one snack bar was selling milkshakes, water and that was about it!

I thought the toilets were substandard…a lot of the taps not really working and not the cleanest. The barefoot walk had no cleaning facilities working at it so there was a sign saying that instead you could do it in shoes!!! As a result there was no mud etc to walk through…just a bit of straw and some sharp stones!

I thought it was astonishing that they could charge extra for things like the tractors and diggers when we’d already paid the best part of £100 entrance fee. Talking of which..why do adults have to pay so much when they can only really go on 2 rides (which with covid restrictions in place meant queue times for said rides were 45 mins +)??

Essentially kids will love this place as there is plenty to do, however you could get this sort of excitement for cheaper elsewhere of a higher quality.

Great place, dog friendly, hairy motorhome drive in, long queues!!
May 2021 • Family
Overall a great family day out. The kids age 7&8 loved it, and so did the dog.
There’s lots to do, but also a lot of queues, sometimes 45-50 minutes for one ride. Not sure why the park opens at ten but the rides don’t open until 10:30?
It’s clean and looks great.
The cafes were always so busy or not working.
We travelled in a motorhome from Anglesey and the roads were pretty hairy! So very narrow. The road leaving towards Canaerfon were slightly better...
also, we got there early to get parked at 9:30 and there was plenty of space, but when I popped back at 12 cars were having to leave because there was no room, and no on street parking either. It could do with marshalls to make sure people are parked better to Max the space.
The staff were brilliant, mostly young kids and they were so polite and professional.
It’s all cashless, except the photo machine from the rides, that’s £2
There’s a sign that says they shop gets busy, and it really does. As we left at 3:30 the queue was out of the door!

Good day
Jun 2021
Great place for a visit. Spent all day with the grandchildren. Lots to keep them occupied . Good parking. Only downside was sometime waiting to Get on attractions and also waiting over forty minutes for burgers and chips.

Loved it

I've seen loads of recent reviews slating the experience - busy, queues, poor service, slow food etc etc. What do you expect during COVID?

Granted I've not been outside of the restrictions they're working under but that's not their fault. It's the same anywhere at the moment.

We loved our visit today l, a wide variety of rides and activities kept our 6 year old fully entertained all day. Max we queued was 20 mins, maybe in normal times you don't have to queue but it ain't normal sadly. Plenty of toilets and picnic benches which are sometimes rare at places like this. All the kids working the rides were pleasant and helpful.

Wouldn't hesitate to go back and if we enjoyed it with all the restrictions can't wait to experience it when we're back to normal.

Also love how they accept dogs, keeps the family together.

Lovely!
Jun 2021 • Family
Oh it was so nice to get back to Greenwood! The girls (8 and 10) said the best bit was the zip wire and the new, superb Giant, as well as their old fave, the bouncy pillow. It was their birthday treat and the enjoyed those bits very much. The 8 year old loved the rollercoaster too. Our 10 year old was a little nervous - staff were very understanding.
We had a bit of a wait for our food but the cook came out and apologised in person, which we were pleased with. I see this in many food places post - Covid with businesses adapting to new ways of working.
Staff at the shop were very helpful.
All in all, a great day out!

Poor experience. Don’t buy the food, take a packed lunch.
Jun 2021 • Family
The park is ok. Some good variety for the under 8’s I would say. Not much going on for the older kids.

It was busy yesterday. Overly busy where you would have to queue for 30 minutes or longer for the better rides.

Food!!! I waited 40 minutes for cheesy chips 🤯. They had one girl making the food in the take out hut, who didn’t have a clue. She had an order of 6 hotdogs and was doing each one separately. It was like pulling teeth.

Lunch from the cafe was dreadful. I paid £33 for 5 people for basic food. It was awful and my family didn’t eat it, bacon was rank, sandwiches were falling apart. And again it took a long time, two lads trying there hardest but couldn’t cope. It was bad, I felt ill.

This could be a good visit if it was less busy and if the staff were trained. As a very minimum they should have a professional cook in kitchen and take out place. Someone with some training around food for speed and food safety.

Sorry for the long review but this was bad. £33 bad.

Overall at the moment I would not go again unless major changes occurred.

Waste of money.
