About
Legendary Somerset pub Tuckers Grave Inn, was built in the mid 17th Century near the burial site of its namesake Edward Tucker This historical pub has remained unchanged since WW1, and is on the 'National Inventory of Historic Interiors' Tuckers has a truly unique & authentic feel as well as being only one of 6 or so pubs like this left in the UK without an actual bar.. The campsite is a nifty two minute stroll from the pub and is spread out in a gorgeous countryside setting, ideal for city dwellers looking for a rural experience. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a well earned pint

Friendly staff, clean facilities, lovely cafe, live music most weekends and plenty of hardstanding for the winter months.
I been a couple of times, once with a group of campers and recently on my own. As a solo woman camper vanner, I felt really safe, even though last Sunday evening I was the only one mad enough to be on the site in mid November. 😀
Note to cafe staff… please keep a hidden stash of GF goodies for me! There wasn’t any last weekend and I’d been looking forward to them all week!
And love your website Tuckers! Great branding. Really mad me chuckle!

Thanks for the awesome review and for braving the November chill solo-style!
Apologies for the GF goodies — We'll make sure to get them back on the menu, hidden stash and all, just for you.
Thrilled to hear our website gave you a chuckle! We figure if we can't warm your hands with gloves, at least we can warm your heart with some good vibes.
Looking forward to your next visit—may it be filled with friendly faces, clean facilities, and a few more mid-November escapades.

Great campsite, with a fantastic old pub, brilliant staff and excellent facilities. The shower and toilet block is spotless. We were a group and paid the group bond to enable us to all camp together. It was reimbursed as soon as we left. The parlour is light. airy and welcoming with lots of room to seat large groups, they have live music, freshly cooked food on weekends and coffee, tea, light food most days and evenings. We had a slight issue with one persons food but in true Tucker's style, they were reimbursed with no quibbles. We hoped the Skittle alley for our group gettogether, there was a log for and we had great fun. Ideal for camping in November. The pub itself is small but has plenty of history and atmosphere, the locals are very friendly and they cater for all tastes. They have live music in the barn during summer months. There is a great beer garden. We have been there quite a few times and would highly recommend a visit.

Apologies for the hiccup with the food, but we're stoked it got sorted in true Tucker's style. Thanks a million for being part of the Love Tuckers family. We're looking forward to your next visit, be it for live music, freshly cooked delights, or just soaking in the historic atmosphere.

We’ve just spent a great weekend at Tuckers Grave. If you are thinking of going, don’t expect an all singing all dancing site but be prepared for a Saturday night that is all about singing & dancing.
The site has a few EHU pitches on grass with the rest being either grass or hard standing. It was a bit wet while we were there but the trusty tractor is on standby to pull you out if needed (thankfully we didn’t). There is a spacious & well appointed shower & toilet block, drinking & waste water points and a chemical toilet dump. The pub itself can be best described as quirky and was very welcoming, if you like cider then this is the place for you! There is also a cafe/bar where it all happens on a Saturday with live music. The place was absolutely jumping when we were there and is obviously the go to place for locals as well. The staff were all very pleasant with nothing too much trouble.
We will definitely be returning.

past tuckers grave a few times, anyway decided to have a saturday night there,& see what it was all about, somehow i'd booked in for november (doh) anyway the girl at the bar sorted us out with a 'non electric pitch'. the only problem was i parked by other campers at the end of the row & i wish i'd had my level blocks with me.during the day we watched the rugby in the 'restaurant' which was ok but got a lot noisey later with people not interested in rugby.we had fish n chips later which was good, after that we went to the barn to watch the band which were very good. i don't like the idea of those £1 each pathetic drinking glasses but all in all we had a good time & will go again, didn't use the showers but the toilets were clean & tidy (which looked like a recently built place) we had a breakfast in the morning just before we left around 12-30.we'll go again as i find they have great 'rock bands' sometime next year & maybe bring some of our friends who also have campervans.

Thanks for sharing your Tucker's adventure! Despite a booking hiccup, our team set you up with a 'non-electric pitch' – big applause to them! We're delighted you enjoyed the rugby and fish n' chips. Just a heads up, our £1 glasses are refundable; they're there for safety. Unfortunately, campers used to wander off with our glasses, so we introduced our festival cups three years ago. Thanks for choosing Tucker's – see you soon!

Went to Tuckers grave recently to an event called last orders. Went with several friends from all over the place so there were about four or five of us then more friends turned up same night out of the blue. Most went for a great walk on the Saturday but I stayed and watched the birds and supped coffee while saving myself for the night. Great three piece group that had the place jumping even though they were competing with the rugby. Mostly ate the food there which was pretty good too, great breaky, great pizzas and great fish and chips. Had a fire on the evening and made quite a few more friends. All the staff were spot on, the security, the staff cooking, the band , the peeps at the bar, the perps cleaning, all of them. The shower block and the loos were immaculate and kept spotless the whole time.

Hi Ozziedog, thanks for sharing your review of Tucker's grave! It sounds like you had an absolutely fantastic time with your group of friends, your choice to skip the Saturday walk in favor of bird-watching and coffee is the epitome of relaxation goals. Who needs a hike when you can kick back, enjoy a warm cup of joe, and let the world go by? It's wonderful to hear that the staff went above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. I hope your next visit to Tucker's grave is just as memorable!

We had an amazing weekend in our T4. Very easy checking. No set pitches which was really good. We parked up, unpacked and went for food in the lovely cafe/bar. Highly recommend the pizzas. Saturday nights there is a live band (free) in the barn. Plenty of outside seating areas around the pub and site. The shower/toilet block was spotless. This was our first stay but definitely won't be the last

Booked for an overnight stay coming back from Wales to break up our journey to Dorset. What a find ! The pub and campsite are fantastic. It's based on three sections, Adult Only, Family Area, and Groups. We chose the Adult Only area, which is a little further away from the pub and Barn, where the live and brilliant bands play. We saw the Coyote King's on Saturday evening, and the place was rammed.
The pub, Barn, outside catering, food, cider campsite, and staff are outstanding with a great toilet and shower block.
Would recommend !

Hi,
We are visiting Tuckers Grave campsite and were wanting to know if there are any recommendations for good walks from the site please.

The only nice walk we are aware off is the walk to the village Norten St Philip.
There is a footpath out the back of the campsite and across the fields. Its a lovely walk rewarded with two lovely historical pubs.

As the others have already said, i'm sure it would be fine but would just check with the pub first about camping and opening times. They used to allow you to camp in the field but not sure if its still the same.
