We have driven past this park on many occasions and have always commented on how attractive it looks. We visited The Bagshaw Museum at the top of the hill using the carpark near to the house. After visiting the museum, we walked through the wooded...More

A very old park, great treasures especially the house at the top, check opening times for the observatory too. Cardiac Hill, race up and get your heart pounding, enjoy reading the names and ages as you walk around

Just visited this lovely park after, what must be, 30 years! So nice to see that Kirklees Council are looking after places like this still. So important to have areas like this in massively built up spaces like Batley. There were quite a few people...More

This park in its hayday was buzzing with people. This was in the 80's now its very quiet, it nice if you want to get away for hour and walk among the trees. The park is very clean and tidy with a childrens play area.

A pleasant lake activities for children, tennis courts and bowling greens. Many woodland walks, some uphill lead to the Bagshaw Museum housed in a former Gothic-styled Gentleman's house - well worth a visit

There is parking next to the children's play area. Also a smaller parking area near the lake. There is also parking at the top next to the museum but quite a steep hike back down to the park. Good exercise though.
