Well presented small museum that gives you a chance to learn something of the amazing but short period of canal building and transport system of the UK. Huge works that have left England with a fabulous recreational asset.

We had bacon sandwich done with thick slice tiger bread .would recommend this place and price was great too unlike the one in the park .

If you want to go on a canal boat I would highly recommend this place. In Rickmansworth. It is a 40 minute trip to the next lock and back. So peaceful and full of wildlife. We had swans flying over us which was amazing. You...More

Lovely place to visit. Friendly and helpful volunteers. Cafe nearby open Wednesday thru Sunday. Open for boat rides, ice creams or just a sit in their peaceful garden enjoying the nearby River Chess.

I agree with Tesco car park, but myself I would buy a few things to justify using it. 2-3 minutes away is Church Street with a few limited spaces, or else Car Parks in Rickmansworth 5-10 minutes depending on which one... More
