We visited Braxton Gardens Tea Rooms, having been recommended by friends and other reviews, suggesting it has a healthy menu for vegans and vegetarians. This is correct to a degree, but we were a little disappointed by the lack of sugar free options on the menu. Yes, the owners are making a great effort and using imagination for vegetarian options,... More

If you are a vegan/vegetarian then the cake offerings are amazing. We sat inside as although sunny the wind was a bit nippy. The service was quick and friendly.

This is a favourite place to go for coffee and cake. In the winter it is very cosy with a wood burning stove blazing away, in summer sitting in their garden is a delight. Dogs are welcomed with a treat. The coffee is good and there is a lovely selection of home baked cakes.

Cakes delicious, lovely setting, but found owners rather rude. Miserable face, no smile or welcome . Seemed like a chore to them. Please engage more with public.

Just paid our second visit to Braxton. Nice enough setting though rather run down now. DELICIOUS cakes. The young waitress was friendly and efficient, but as we had felt previously, the couple running the business have no idea how to engage. No eye contact, no greetings, and you really wonder why they do this rather than contract cake baking.

This us a cafe with a poorly kept garden full of weeds. It is advertised as selling herbs looked in garden section found half dead plants and herbs for sale. Wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend. They need to decide what they are actually trying to achieve.

Really disappointed as we came to get some fresh air and wander through some beautiful gardens. Unfortunately the 'wandering' took all of 2 minutes. Luckily the tea rooms were very nice and we had some vegan cake which was good too....
