Well this for me and my partner and her cousin and her son was the first time we've ever been to this lake its wonderfull so open so nice it was busy but there's so much space you weren't anywhere near anyone else ... the road is a bit rough alongside th lake but drive slowly you'll be fine I parked by a locked gate as I'm registered disabled and was easy to take my stuff down to the lake . We had a kayak the lake was clam so my partners nephew got to use the kayak on his own for the first time which was fantastic .. would recommend and will be recommend to everybody to go there .. there's ample parking and toilets in the carpark

Beautiful walk off the main walks so not very busy at all which makes a nice change. Really peaceful place. Got round half the lake then the other half had flooded on the path and unfortunately half our group didn't have waterproof shoes so we had to turn pack around.

Visited this lake in the middle of summer but it was still cold. What's the deal?!?!
Had to go up and down a lot of hills to get there.
AND NO SIGNAL?!
ALSO THERE WERE TOO MANY ROCKS.
I wanted a McDonald's but there wasn't one anywhere. How am I supposed to eat out to help out if there isn't a McDonald's anywhere?! I also would have been ok with an appropriate alternative like KFC or Burger King or even Subway.
Did look nice but that distracted me and I capsized my kayak which was very distressing. Thank you Wales Gods that I got out alive.

My partner and I walked from the village of Trefriw up to the lake through glorious scenery. The lake is stunning and we managed to walk all the way round.

We brought our canoe up and went for a paddle round the lake. It was breezy and the boat was pushed along, but we always felt perfectly safe. The lake is very shallow along the edge by the car park and the bottom is pebbly, so it’s ideal for swimming also. The water was lovely and warm that day too. Toilets were cleanish with both loo roll and soap and also hand sanitiser. Car park busy but not full but had heard that the roads up had been choked up a few days before as they are long single track roads in both directions.

lovely walk around the shore, easy but may be muddy especially after rain. Free car park on the site.

We visit this lake and Llyn Crafnant lot, all year and for about 25 years now.
Many beautiful walks to get up here.
Currently I am quite disabled but we drive up, I swim in the lake. From April this year, hoping to get a swim in again this week.
It will be very busy, buzzing really when it's a warm day
Get here early to park if driving
Lovely walk over the hill to Crafnant where there is a great cafe and flat walk around the lake.
No swimming here.
We love it busy or quiet. So many wonderful memories and always blown away by the surrounding natural beauty.

It was a lovely sunny day and there was little traffic on our way up the Conwy valley towards the lake. On the largely single track road (with occasional passing places) however, the situation changed. We had not reckoned on so many people being brought out by the sun towards the end of the school holidays. As we approached the lake every possible nook and cranny (including some passing places) was taken by parked cars. Even the substantial car park by the lake was full, and there were queues outside the toilets. We were very lucky to find a parking space a few hundred yards from the car park and we were able to walk back to the lake, take in the beautiful scenery and admire the numerous swimmers, kayakers and paddle boarders in the lake (most wearing wetsuits). Power boats and water skiers were enjoying a separate part of the lake. The shore was well populated with picnickers and families enjoying the sun and water. There are picnic tables around the car park for those, like me, less able to lower themselves to and raise themselves from the turf. Because there is no cafe I was surprised at the number of people enjoying the lake. If you go at a busy time, and that is not always predictable, be prepared for some interesting manoeuvring in your vehicle in order to pass oncoming traffic and ensure you have enough supplies for your planned stay. Despite potential access problems this is a wonderful location for its setting and water based activities. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful location, great place for a walk and picnic. Possible to walk from here to Llyn Crafnant. Great place for families or those wanting to go for a few hours’ walk.

Really reached by road from Llanrwst or Betws-y-coed. Parking and public toilets, a well as a slipway for launching small craft
