Day in Trentham Gardens
A lot to see and do for you entrance fee. The Italian Gardens, Floral Labyrinth and Grass lake plus bare foot trail, maze, children adventure playground. Plus boat and train ride. There are over 50 small stores and plenty of places to eat.
Well worth a visit.

Thank you for your lovely review of Trentham Gardens. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Gardens! There is so much to see and do and you've mentioned some brilliant attractions. The Miss Elizabeth boat rides and Trentham Fern train trips will return in 2022 and are always a firm visitor favourite. We hope to welcome you back to Trentham soon, thank you again for your review.

Going Downhill

As a regular round the lake Walker and annual pass holder it’s disappointing to see the lack of maintenance around the site it’s overgrown with weeds and dead plants in the beds that need cutting back the grass seemingly is rarely getting cut except for in the Italian Gardens plus it’s a case of spot the gardener these days.

admission prices and annual passes are not cheap and it’s hard to see where the revenue is being spent

Halloween trail is a total letdown.
Oct 2021
I am an annual pass member and visit most days for my exercise round the lake which I thoroughly enjoy.
However the Halloween Trail is a total letdown. I agree totally with a previous reviewer. A few boards to read,no pumpkins or Halloween affects. My 6 year old grandson got bored and asked to go back to the play area. If I had paid a day pass as a visitor bringing my children/grandchildren to do this trail as a treat, I would be making a complaint. I did in fact overhear some young parents complaining. Surely , with all the money and revenue coming in, a bit more effort could have been made. Very very disappointed. Whoever thought that was entertaining for children clearly don’t have children !! With all the beautiful surrounding woodland they could have organised a really fun spooky trail or something. Shocking effort .

Thank you for your constructive feedback regarding the Room on the Broom trail. Each year we try to produce unique activity trails to engage visitors, we're sorry to hear that this year didn't live up to the previous trails we've produced in the gardens. We have worked along side the official publishers of Room on the Broom and although it's amazing to have official illustrations and wording, we are considerably limited with what we can do while being licenced to display the characters in the gardens. We will pass on your feedback onto events team for future planning consideration. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

Expensive

Good walk around the lake but the actual formal gardens disappointing and somewhat untidy/overgrown. Expensive for what is offered out of season

Poor events organization
Oct 2021 • Family
I am a annual pass holder and took my son aged 3 to what a thought would be a nicely themed Halloween trail only to find some boring signs stuck in the ground that was it. Last years attempt was much better no child is really bothered about reading a sign and instead wants to see props such as pumpkins scarecrows skeletons spiders etc. the size of trentham gardens and the potential it has I don’t know why they struggle to put something on for the kids? Makes me question wether I will renew my pass next year when I could be a member of other places which out better events together.

Poor service
Aug 2021 • Couples
Paid to walk the lake, it was beautiful.
Then decided to eat lunch in the cafe in the Italian gardens. We ordered toasted cheese and red onion relish sandwiches.
When they arrived they were toasted on one side only and they were full of relish which overpowered the scattering of cheese.
The menu said cheese and onion, not onion and cheese.
We showed the waitress our sandwich and complained about the quality. Her response was "I will tell the chef" and never returned.
Poor customer service, I will not go there again.

Fabulous long stroll around the lake with the sunken gardens at the end of the walk. Lovely grounds, quiet and well kept. Thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours wandering around.

Family day out
Sep 2021 • Couples
Lovely day out with family to this amazing beautiful setting called Trentham Gardens. The view the scenery and the walks are what you need on a lovely Sunday afternoon not to mention the great array of shops as well. There are also places to eat if you want fish & chips bar meals our a fantastic place to get great Roast pork or Roast Beef baps with lots of trimmings on. You can also get famous wines spirits and cheese in the shops plus the ladies will be amazed what they can spend there money on or yours which ever the case is!
You can even get a Full English Breakfast before 12pm at the same shop that does the amazing baps. Also a big garden shop we’re you can buy anything from plants too chairs and lights to see them all at night.
If you like animals the is a Monkey Forrest adjoining the property but make sure the ladies don’t keep you in the shops too long or you won’t have time to see them
Amazing day out for all

Thank you for your 5 star review. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Trentham. It sounds like you had a wonderful time and explored so much of what the estate has to offer. Autumn is just around the corner, and the beautiful scenery will evolve into a whole new pallet of oranges and red, and who can resist an autumn walk with a hot chocolate? Certainly not me! Thank you again for your lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Lovely gardens, enormous park
Sep 2021 • Family
Lovely visit to Trentham Gardens. Beautiful Italian garden with amazing fairy sculptures. The parks is enormous, with a more than 2 mile walk to go around the lake. A bonus is the amazing shopping village (more like a town!) to visit afterwards. The best cafes/restaurants are in the shopping village. There's just too much to do in one visit!

Thank you for your 5 star review of Trentham Gardens. It's so lovely to hear that you enjoyed your visit. The FantasyWire sculptures are a visitor-favourite here at Trentham! They sprinkle magic around the beautiful lakeside walk and gardens and look stunning against the amazing scenery. The Shopping Village is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy, with free access and free parking, anyone can come along for some retail therapy or window shopping! Thank you again for your review, we look forward to welcoming you again soon!
