Lovely Stretch of Beach

A surprisingly long expanse of clean beach something thats getting increasingly difficult to find these days. Take a good long walk and clear your head.

This beach is one of the best we've ever visited. We've been here many times and it rates with the best in the Caribbean! There is plenty of excellent parking, pit toilets and changing rooms, and easy ramp access to the beach.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Nova Scotia. So clean and peaceful. Stop and stroll or stay at the hotel here.

Beautiful, expansive, and clean beach. Stunning view and not too busy. Only viewed briefly due to other plans but hope to return!

This iOS a great place to walk, splash in the water or to sun bathe. At the one end you can go take a swim in the river and wash off the salt and sand.

We didn't have a lot of time here but the short visit we had was well worth it. Very large, very nice and look forward to visiting again. Planning a cottage stay in the area soon just because it was so impressive.

For whatever reason, I never thought of Nova Scotia as a beach destination. Perhaps it's because I've spent a number of years vacationing with friends on PEI, and simply assumed its beaches could not be topped. While PEI may still win out in a beach-off, visiting Summerville more than convinced me that Nova Scotia has a lot to offer for... More

Summerville Beach has long been my favourite Nova Scotia beach. I know that others are longer and have a reputation for being prettier but there is something about the combination of sand, beach grass, offshore views and breezes that makes this feel special for me. Perhaps it is that as the tide drops the broad expanse of pearly grey hard... More

Great place to go walking and wading. Very beautiful. Some biting flies, so you may want to bring some bug spray.

I always love to visit this beach. The water is warmer than the water at the beaches closer to Halifax. It is also a very long beach that seems to be unknown to most. It is rare to go to this beach and find it crowded. The beach also often has a sandbar which, at low tide, creates a wonderful... More
