This zoo is an excellent place to take all ages of children to see a variety of animals at close range. Also able to interact with some of the wild life.

Been to this zoo many times, and each time there is something new to see. They continue to invest and make it even better. I could watch the lions and wolves for hours. But even they were upstaged today by the baby otters - possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and on going support - even during the winter! We are delighted that you enjoyed your recent visit and saw the new "additions" to the Otter Family, they are indeed the cutest babies. Look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. More

What a great zoo. A lot of the animals are rescues. My grandkids had a ball. Plenty of picnic areas and the food is very reasonable. Can't wait for my next visit.

Visited during February half term. Cold but dry - would be a washout in the rain and there's a sign up saying no refunds due to bad weather! There were 2 adults 3 kids: 2, 4 & 9 in our party. Arrived about 2pm. 4yo was in sprint mode going round the animals so could've taken longer than an hour... More

Thank you very much for your recent review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. You are correct, the 4 male lions were rescued from a circus, as were the brown bears who came to live at the Zoo almost 5 years ago after 20+ years of being part of a travelling circus. Sorry that you missed... More

Just had a fantastic day out with our two granddaughters to Five Sisters Zoo. Passed the sign at the end of the road hundreds of times and never considered visiting. Was aware of the dreadful fire but still didn't go. Huge fan of Edinburgh Zoo so thought there was no point in calling in here. WRONG! What a lovely, quaint,... More

On a very cold day, our family visited this zoo at West Calder. Not quite the same standard as Edinburgh Zoo, but still enough animals to hold everyone's interest. Nice to get into the warmth of the cafe afterwards. ( I doubt that it would be big enough for all the Summer visitors) My mac and cheese was tasty, but... More

Thank you for your recent review and for visiting the Zoo, we are glad you enjoyed yourselves even on such a cold day. Your comment about the Mac and cheese has been passed to the cafe and we are looking forward to a much larger cafe opening this summer. Look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future. More
