We visited here during the Xmas holidays and were pleasantly surprised at the scale of the zoo and some of the animals under their care. Amongst other things the zoo is caring for ex performing lions and bears and alongside the meerkats, otters etc. We found it an entertaining visit. Particularly eye catching was the ant hill and the scurrying... More

Visited here with our kids aged 10, 9 and 6, one evening before Christmas for the zoo illuminations. A fantastic time was had by all. Kids loved being out in the dark, the fairground rides, the lights and seeing all the animals "go to bed". Very Christmassy. Wrap up warm and you will have a fantastic evening. We will be... More

We went to renew our annual pass with no plans to visit he zoo at this time. However it was such a nice day on the 3rd January 2017 we wandered around. I have been going to this zoo from the early days on transition from a Garden Nursery to the well established and grown zoo/sanctuary it is today. So... More

Went for the first time today with my son and dad after hearing about it from friends. It wasn't signposted from the A71(if it was we missed the sign) but thankfully my dad had previously known the area, and despite him not knowing of the zoo, we found it with relatively little bother! What a fabulous day out for both... More

have been here a few times, it' was exceptional that you could feed the lemurs which was a lovely experience but that isn't available at the moment Love that they have rescued circus lions and bears and have some more unusual animals Was open at nite on the run up to Xmas, obviously you can't keep the animals awake, but...
