Clean trails for sledding! Lots to see, and nice warm up shacks. Tobogganing, skiing, skating, snowshoeing.

Hecla Island is a special place. Even the ride though is packed with history and beauty. I'd encourage anyone going through to prepare for a lot of walking as the true beauty is strolling around enjoying the reminders of the one bustling Hecla and reading plaques. Also, the trails are amazing. Plenty of lodging as well.

We were at the Hecla resort over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was predominantly cloudy and drizzly, but we thoroughly enjoyed walking the paths around the resort ... to the lighthouse (saw an eagle), to the harbour, etc.. Would have been even better with consistent sunshine. Oh well.

We slept in our car in a little rest area which worked out nicely. We woke up to a lovely sunrise over the lake and went to the moose lookout spot, although unfortunately didn't see any moose! The lookout did have some nice views and we came across a fox on the side of the road!

We've visited Hecla for years, usually for 5 night stays in the campground. The biking and hiking opportunities are endless, the beach is huge and never crowded, fishing spots along the shore are plentiful and if visiting toward the end of July, delicious saskatoon berries are everywhere. There's no reason for the kids to be bored here unless it's a... More

Other than the marina, there is nothing to really see here. Yes, there is natural greenery and alot of birds , but bring your bike or a frisbee because keeping kids entertained might be a little tricky. Washrooms could use alittle upgrading and sprucing up.

Hecla PP is one of the most beautiful parks of Manitoba with its own wilderness, landscape and weather. Is only 2.15 hours from Winnipeg and could be a very good day tour to the park or otherwise there are 3 different hotels with different price range to enjoy the beauty of the park.

It was in fantastic shape with a great view of the lake. A challenge to play, but was not pushed for speed of play.

A beautiful location for walking, bike rides or boating. We stayed at the Lakeview resort and enjoyed walking around the trails and sitting on the rocks by the lake.
