Under the new Ownership of the artist, Dugald Stark and his wife, Adel, the gardens continue to be open for visitors. A new studio displaying Dugald's paintings is a new attraction. The historic gardens were planted to provide inspirational summer colour and abundance. Interesting features include restored teak Victorian greenhouses, a giant pergola and an extensive bamboo grove. The gardens are flat and accessible to wheelchairs.

As a keen gardener we searched for places of interest for our mini break in West Devon. Found this amazing gem, down a small country lane. We were greeted with written information about the garden and planting. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This lovely garden is reached down a fairly rough road, but is well worth the visit. The owner of the property is very happy to discuss his garden. It is very sheltered and there is very little bare soil for weeds to get a foothold....More

The approach to the garden along a gravel lane was interesting in itself, but the actual garden was a delight. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who took time to explain about the garden and its origins and to point us in the right...More

A warm welcome from Dugald to the most perfect summer garden. A glorious mix of colours, scents and textures all concentrated into a walled garden that you can wander round at your leisure. With benches, a pond, Victorian greenhouses and bamboo groves and loads of...More

Went there - eventually found it - rang the bell - no one appeared! Was obliged by tripadvisor to put at least 1 blob rating - but as no one was there the real rating is ZERO.
