An atmospheric walk through the history of water wheels and milling in the region. Views of the canals and sounds of rushing water with panoramas of old houses framed by weeping willow trees. One of the prettiest areas in the region.

In the morning of our checkout we took time to wander around the center of Portogruaro. St. Andrew's Mill is in a pretty park known for its ducks And also for its nutria which is a rodent that swims around with orange teeth. There is even a couple of statues of nutria. We did not see one. The whole setting is pleasant and the old mill wheels are still working.
