Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Learn about how Nuclear power is generated, and how important it is to Ontario's power plan. These units produce 30% of Ontario's power, with no Green House gas emissions. There are lots of interactive displays and videos to watch. I believe bus tours might also be available.

We did the bus tour. It was very informative. Easy to get on the bus and tour around. Movie before hand. Free bottles of water and clean bathrooms. I would recommend but book online early. Not many spots left this summer

This is a neat place to visit, best to do it with a group, a very knowledgeable guide explained the Bruce Power and answered our questions prior to us being checked by security, photo ID, no cameras or purses on the bus trip around the area,

Reserve their bus tour in advance via the website. The visitors' centre itself is a nice mini-museum. Everything's for free.

Staying in Kincardine so decided to visit The Bruce Power Station. We arrived at noon while staff was on lunch break so had to wait for a tour! Reservations are a good idea!
The Visitors’ Centre has interactive exhibits to educate and entertain but not all were working. An informative video is shown in the theatre prior to security check and boarding. The bus tour, with armed guard on board, takes 45 min. It covers pretty much all of the huge property (2300 acres) and our guide,Emma, gave an informative running account of each facility and area. You can no longer enter the buildings and they take security seriously!!
The tour is free and worthy of a visit although it appears to be a PR attempt to convince the public that nuclear energy is safe! Personally, I am against burying radioactive waste deep in the ground so close to Lake Huron.(Deep Geologic Repository).
If you are arriving around lunch time, pack a picnic. There are several tables in front of the Visitors’ Centre.

We signed up for the 45 minute bus tour of the Bruce facilities.
Our guide was informative and one definitely gets a sense for the overall size of the world's largest nuclear power plant.
Heavy security throughout.
You never leave the bus but do get to see all the buildings.

This is a very interesting and informative place to learn all about nuclear power generation. There are variety of interactive exhibits and displays that sparks interests and in-depth understanding of inquiring minds.
Of all the interactive exhibits, my children (ages 6 & 10 ) had fun the most with building an imaginary city using different sources to power.
When you go to the patio, you will see the largest nuclear power facility in the world. Theres telescope on each side of the patio and also couple of chairs if you want to sit back and enjoy the view.
On top of the FREE admission & free parking, there is also free wifi and charging station ( for gadgets and electic cars) and a picnic area.
This was an excellent choice for an educational destination on a Saturday afternoon . Stayed there for good 2 hours before heading to Sauble Beach.

This visitor centre is free admission so you can't beat the price! A great place to learn all about nuclear power generation with a theatre for a short video presentation, many interactive displays and exhibits that are interesting and well done. A great deck on back of building for viewing towards the reactors' buildings, Lake Huron, other structures relating to Bruce Power and many acres of land. You cannot go beyond the visitor centre unless you book a ticket for the bus tours that run in July and August 3 days a week and 2x a day - see their website for details. The tour we went on was excellent and our enthusiastic student guide was very informative and answered many questions - starts with a video with boarding the bus after, total time about 45 min. You MUST book ahead (by phone or email) but tickets also free.

Yes - I believe so - but you must register to get a seat. Best to go on line - there are normally 3 times to choose from.
