It is a vibrant place in the mountains of Nagano, where we can view hundreds of snow monkeys eating and resting at the park with their families. Because we went during the summer, we could not see the monkeys taking bath in the onsen.

See many wild monkeys playing with each other. Four monkeys were bathing in the natural hot spring. Manage to see the monkeys from very close and they completely ignored us. An interesting visit !

excellent morning walking up from the bus drop off to see the Snow monkeys with the children. We could believe how close they came and how many there were, a well worth trip. It would be good to see them in the snow.

Loved it! Kids were a little apprehensive at first but then eased in. Very safe. Minor hike there, our 4,6,7 years olds were ok though.

There is one steep part of the track - but this is concreted - so unless you slip in monkey poop you will be fine. Have fun in the rain or sun!
