Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolute gem of a place. A great mix of animals & playgrounds for little ones. Lots of seating - take a picnic or food available to buy & an ice cream kiosk. An easy & accessible walk. Take some change for donations - well worth it.

I attended with my 3 year old grandson. It was a truly amazing experience. The play areas were well thought out with play structures made from natural materials that put a true emphasis on imaginative play. The amount of seating for parents encouraged the parents to take a natural step back and allow the children to make friends and be creative. The animals were wonderful and my grandson got to pet a pig and a pony. The gardens were beautiful. On a conservation and ecological level it was outstanding. The staff were wonderful and truly devoted to the project. This is what parks should be about. A wonderful piece of design for the future and for life. Cant rate it highly enough.

Our little girl absolutely loved this place, she got to pet a pot bellied pig and some very tame alpacas. A great place to visit for a few hours. I hope Stockport council realise how great places like this are. The place is run on donations and well worth it!

This is a great little place, it's free to get in but they do ask for donations which is fair enough. There is a decent range of animals and my daughter had a great time, she got to touch a pig, watch chickens and eat ice cream. It was a lovely warm day and she also took a paddle in the stream. There's a cafe on site and does a decent bacon butty. If animals aren't your thing you can always watch parents trying to keep their darling off spring spotlessly clean. I mean why take them to a farm if your worried about dirt, anyway I digress. Can't really complain about the farm had a great time and great for kids

Having just moved to Marple Bridge the Garden House is an awesome find for my four year old. Great facilities throughout, amazingly child focussed, helpful and friendly staff, reasonable prices for ice cream and essential coffee for parents.. we will be back again and again

Found this little gem today. A little tricky to find via satnav but make sure you go in via lakes road (just off the green near marple canal at strines road) otherwise you will go off the trail on a pot holed road towards roman lakes which is currently closed!

When we arrived, we paid a donation to enter. We went on a very wet day so it was muddy but still enjoyed seeing the pigs, chickens/ducks, alpacas, shetland ponies and rabbits.
There was a zip line which was enjoyed by our daughter and a younger childrens area to play. The cafe was 5* rating, we only had a brew but the volunteers were very pleasant and chatty. The farm needs signatures due to the council wanting it closed! It needs saving!
The 3 volunteers that we seen today (2 young ladies and a young man), were super friendly, they got the baby bunnies out for us to see and were very knowledgable about the animals and their needs. They appeared happy to chat with us which was nice. Overall, a really lovely little place for the kiddies. Take your wellies on a wet day as we were muddy but didnt mind as it's a farm after all.
Had a lovely hour as we turned up a little late but would have stayed longer.

I’ve just got home after visiting with my teenage daughter, she is obsessed with pigs. An there aren’t many places close by with pigs. There are a few different breeds of pigs to see. Plus many other animals too. There is also a children’s play area and different assortment of assault courses along the way. It also has a cafe and ice cream shop. Plenty of tables and chairs around the farm. A toilet block and lots of sinks to wash your hands. It is very muddy so take your wellies. You can also walk along the river Goyt, which we did.
This is a must visit place to go for any animal lover. You can stroke all the animals. We would definitely come again.
