Just like all the reviewers before, I can only reiterate all the good things about our trip on New Hoirizons narowboat. There is ideally room for 2 wheelchairs. We had 2 wheelchair users plus 7. The boat provides tea/coffee, and we look our own sandwiches and scones!! Everyone enjoyed the experience. So tranquil. We saw heron and kingfisher, and said... More

I was on this boat with a group of friends today what a lovely day we had. The weather was beautiful as was the boat. Fantastic facilities on board a little shop for raising funds for the charity. We had 2 wheelchairs users and a lift on board to take them inside if so desired. Blankets also if it was... More

My mother and I went on this canal boat today with a group of other residents from my mother's care home. It was lovely to see my mum sitting up on deck in her wheel chair and enjoying the fresh air, tranquility and nature. The smile on her face was fantastic. The New Horizons Canal Boat is a brilliant resource... More

Just had a lovely afternoon on the new horizons canal boat. I went with my mum and a group from Marple dale care home. It was so peaceful and quiet. I couldn't believe how much there was to see on the banks from herons to honeysuckle.

We had an amazing time on the canal boat on a glorious day with wonderful hosts. Our little boy was smiling throughout the trip and it really brightened up his day. In a world where everyone is rushing around this is so peaceful and tranquil. The skipper Peter was a gentleman and our host had a great personality which was... More

Our party consisted of 9 people; 5 adults (1 with mobility difficulties) and 3 children (1with autism) on a cloudy August day. The boat itself is well equipped, and the lift down to the lower deck was very convenient for those who needed it. There is a small shop on board, too, where you can buy drinks & souvenirs. The...
