We went there by bullet train and it took us only 1 hour approximately. The experience inside cable car was really interesting, you will see the city and snowy mountain view in the back of city. As I mentioned above, the space wasn't too extensive. However, the view was obviously amazing, and it was really nice to see people played... More

We spent a day here last February and had an absolutely perfect snow day. The day started with the ride up the ropeway that was scenic in itself. At the top, there were a couple of options for dining. The "snow terrace" provided a good photo opportunity. The short distance from the main building where the ropeway car dropped off... More

It was alright but a bit disappointed because only 2 part of the ski slopes open because of not enough snow:( Our girls still enjoyed it but they do not hire helmet so we have to buy it there as for safety! Beware they are expensive! $100. Each helmet. Other ski resort you can hire them, we were off guard... More

Though the ski site is not too big, it enjoy one of the best scenery of the numerous ski resorts in Yuzawa. When we visited there for skiing, there were already a few alpine racing skiers practicing on the black runs, which are not too long but good for practicing. As the snow is not sufficient in our visit in... More

Yes you have to go up the cable car. Though coming down with 50 smelly men in a small space, well it's interesting (large space for a cable car). The views aren't amazing, but it was well worth it (though 1800 per person was a bit much). The hot foot bath at the top has some nice views.

3rd trip here , and never disappoints - Freezing cold , heavy snowfall and just the place for a nice cosy ambience with great food. My only critique is Kid's playground used to have tubes etc , but now has little choice for kids to have fun

We wanted to experience both snow and the high speed Shinkansen, so one of our acquaintances recommended us to go to Echido Yuzawa. The Shinkansen ride from Ueno Station to Yuzawa is only 80 minutes and leaves Ueno every 30-60 minutes. As we were traveling on New Year's eve, the tickets for reserved seats were sold out, so we ended... More
