The waterfall is great. Must bring swimsuit. The water is shallow till you get just under the fall. It's probably 8 ft deep at the deepest point. Water was pretty clean and not cold at all. Great trip overall.

We booked the Combo Tour with Alex on the Beach that included this waterfall. The waterfall was beautiful and refreshing on a hot, humid day. I would definitely recommend this "up close and personal" experience with a Costa Rican waterfall!

Very secluded area. Sandy beach and beautiful falls. Our teenagers loved climbing the rocks behind the waterfall and getting great pictures. We went early, on a weekday and had no problems with over crowding. There are larger waterfalls in Costa Rica but this one was...More

Catatana Llanos de Cortes waterfall is absolutely beautiful! Signage not great and infrastructure around the falls could be better, but this is part of the appeal. You are expected to give a donation at the gate and at parking (tho not sure who it benefits!)...More

We went with a private tour so I have no idea as well. I remember we drove on a divided road but that isn't very helpful!
