Just two minutes off of the Cabot Trail, let the lighthouse guide you to Dixon's Zodiac Seafari. Prepare to have a smooth, exhilarating ride aboard the "733 Hurricane", the same type of vessel used by the Canadian Coast Guard. This is where your coastal, whale and marine life adventure will begin.

My wife and I were fortunate to join in with a larger group at the end of the day. It turned out they were all family from Nova Scotia and farther afield. All very friendly. Lowell Dixon was just a great person to be out there with. As for the whales, we saw several Minke and seals, eagles. But, it... More

Well, whales don't come when they are called, we were disappointed, but feel like the captain knew his stuff and did really try to find them for us. The ride was a little bumpy, as it was a bit rough, and must say I was happy to be back on shore after. We were provided with slickers and good life jackets,... More

Dixon's Zodiac Seafari was an absolute blast. My wife and I had a great time on the zodiac, seen many Dolphins! The Captain was nothing but kind and knowledgable. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Had a great time today with Captain Dixon on his Zodiac - out of a seafari! With the past two days of a combination of not great weather and turbulent waters, the whales weren't cooperating. However, Captain Dixon with his eagle eye was able to spot a school of dolphins and an ocean sunfish (aka mola mola) and took the... More

I had a very nice time even though we didn't see whales. Our reservation got cancelled because of weather and he fit us in for the next day. We saw a bunch of dolphin and seals, which was AMAZING. Lowell (I think that was his name) still gave us a little tour of the coastline before we came in. I... More

We didnt see any whales, such was our luck and mother natures way. But saw hundreds of dolphins. The baby ones were really cute. They put on a real show for us, leaping out of the water, and bow riding our inflatible. They were so close you could almost touch them. Lowell was a great skipper. He tried hard to... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time going out with capt Dixon. Unfortunately with the windy weather for the last couple days the whales had moved out and we were unable to see any. We did see some seals and lots of Dolphins. After coming back Capt Dixon offered for us to go out again the following morning which... More

The owner/operator and staff were super friendly, but not a whale to be seen. That's not what bummed me out. Once we returned to shore, guide said, "Well, sorry, I tried," and walked away without looking back. No offer to partially refund (like other tours offer), so my wife and I just had a $100 boat ride... Not sure what... More

Hi there I am disappointed that you had a disappointing trip. When the wind is up I tell everyone before we go out the expectations of the tour . The wind does limit you . If you think that we see whales on 100% of the trips. We don't. Neither does any other whale watcher . Why don't you come... More

Great experience! Lowell was very informative and funny during our 2 hrs tour. He even showed us their "foot print" which helped me capture a video of the whale!! Lowell made sure we just didn't sit put and really tried to take us to areas to help us see as many as he could find. Our family experienced a total... More
