Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Sankozo Museum displays more than 3,000 National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, including Buddhist statues, sutras, and the burial items of the Fujiwara lords. The admission fee is 800 yen, which includes admission to the Konjikido. The amazing collection of treasures from the late Heian era is certainly worth spending some time.

This area can be entered with a joint admission ticket for both the Golden Hall and the Treasure Hall.
This is Chusonji's Treasure Hall, and it has a great deal to offer.
The three large Buddha statues at the entrance are simply breathtaking.
Even as you go further in, there are many Important Cultural Properties, and it's rare to find a Treasure Hall with so many exhibits that you never get bored of looking at them.

As others have written, it might have been better to go in before touring the halls.
In my case, I went in last at Chusonji, so I felt like I was missing out and looked around without gaining any knowledge about each hall.

It is pronounced Sankozo. In this building, which serves as the treasure hall of Chusonji Temple, many relics left by the Oshu Fujiwara clan are on display. You can see the rich culture and artistry. This is where I learned the word "raden" (mother of pearl work). I was amazed at the technique and sense of using precious shells at the time for beautiful decoration. It's a good idea to go in front of the Golden Hall to do some preparation.

After climbing Tsukimizaka, the main approach to Chusonji Temple, and passing the main hall, you will find Sankogura, located in front of the entrance to the most popular Golden Hall.
Sankogura is, simply put, the treasure house of Chusonji Temple. Only the Golden Hall and Sankogura require an admission ticket to enter. The name Sankogura is said to have been given in praise of the great achievements of the three generations of the Oshu Fujiwara clan (Kiyohira, Motohira, and Hidehira), and it houses some 3,000 national treasures and important cultural properties of Chusonji Temple.
