Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a garden that spreads out next to Motsuji Temple. If you don't look closely, it's just a large pond that spreads out next to Motsuji Temple. We viewed it from the path when we walked around the garden during our tour of Motsuji Temple. Rather than observing something, this is a place to imagine what was done in the ruins of the garden during the Heike era.

As a previous reviewer has comments, there's not a lot to see here - a few wall foundations, the outlines of where buildings and gates were located and not a lot else.

I think on a warm summer day a picnic on the lawn would make a good stop-over, but only on your way to somwehee else.

as the name says, you only see the ruins & site of previous temple. No structure is seen at present. On the way to Chusonji temple. just a stop over. Nothing much to see.

I stopped by here when I visited Motsuji Temple. There's nothing particularly interesting to see here, but I think it's one of the areas where you can see the prosperity of Hiraizumi at the time.

To the east of Motsu-ji Temple are the ruins of Kanjizai-o-in Temple. These ruins are also a World Heritage Site.
The ruins of Kanjizai-o-in Temple are the remains of a temple built by the wife of Motohira, the second head of the Oshu Fujiwara clan. There are no buildings left today, and a Pure Land garden spreads out around Maizuru Pond. Mount Kinkei is positioned behind the temple grounds.
