We had some pretty epic days on Happo this Feb. There is something for everyone on this mountain from mellow groomers to some truly amazing OOB areas. (I should say in the interest of safety, as with all mountains if you intend to go off...More

The line just to get onto the gondola was crazy and then to get back down (due to lack of snow). We went in peak season with not much snow cover. This made it slightly un-enjoyable. Not much for advanced skiers.

Japanese efficiency and comfort while skiing. Good trails, excellent conditions, not too crowded and very accessible. Try the cafeterias and have a baileys coffee.

Happo-One (pronounced O-nay) is a sight to behold! Breathtaking especially after a night of snow. Lots of cafes and bars throughout. At the top of Gondola Adam there is this main cafeteria with the best ramen I have ever tried called Cha-cha. Also the hot...More

This place is great. We had more of a slushy day but a great time exploring the mountain. Lots of good places to eat. We tried skiing off piste but it was too crunchy under foot. We got a discount ticket from where we were...More

Happo is the biggest in the Hakuba valley and still one of my favorites after several years of riding it. It has great free ride, excellent terrain on powder days and nice long relaxing runs.

We went in February just after school holidays had finished and it was excellent! The slopes were still getting fresh snow most days and yet barely anyone on them! This is a massive mountain, with a gondola to the base in almost central Hakuba village....More

We stayed at the bottom of Sakka slopes, you can ski a few runs there then cross over to the main Happo-One slopes very easily

Good price and great slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers. Olympic downhill slope is great! They keep the slopes in good conditions. Lifts are old but work and it easy easy to get around the area. If you are afraid of hights some of the...More

We are doing that it again in the Dec 17 as well. Been in Happo one in Feb 17, it was the best snow field ever - Hakuba. Mind you, you are west from Tokyo, in a small town where the Olympic held back in 2008. So, only thing... More

There is a gondola you can ride to the mid mountain and have scenery there but I am unsure if you can ride a chair to the top without skis
