This is our 4th ski holiday in Hakuba in the last 5 years. There is an extensive number and variety of slopes to cater from beginners to expert skiers and snowboarders. There is also a large variety of Japanese and non Japanese high quality restaurants. Access from Tokyo airport is easy. Definitely recommend the place.

Hakuba has beautiful mountains, especially with good kind people. In summer is a fantastic place for trekking, cycling, biking rafting etc. In winter is a wonderful place for skiing. There are many international restaurants and great hotel, like Shakespeare Hotel! Such a lovely little village full with love and fun!!

Hakuba offers a great space for many activities. My trip was purely based on snow sports and Hakuba offered. Great lifts and powder. There's plenty of options for food everywhere you go and you're guaranteed to make friends along the way. Many Australians made it like home but you'll find authentic cultural experiences if you ask around. There's plenty of... More

Excellent valley, provided you're happy to travel around as far as Cortina you have enough to keep you busy for the week. If you are just looking for a long weekend I would recommend 47 & Goryu for 2 days and a day in Happo One.

A ski-ing holiday is so reliant on weather/ snow. Others rave about Habuka but lack of snow made it underwhelming. The runs open did have better snow than OZ. We did have a couple of gorgeous days, especially Christmas Day. No ski in & out so had the painful shuttles. Habuka ski school disappointing. Our Maki cottage snug but not... More

We loved and embraced this beautiful town. We were very lucky to experience snow on our arrival in late November (quite uncommon until mid to late December). The residents in the town were very lovely and more than happy to help you. We will be back

For the last 3 seasons I have been heading to Japan for snowboarding. Compared to Europe the snow in Japan is exactly what everyone tells you.....better. No layer of ice early in the morning and usually a layer of powder snow. I spent two of my trips at Hakuba One and the third at Niseko. I preferred Hakuba it was... More

I first learned to snowboard on our trip. This park had great tracks for me to learn on as well as more challenging slopes for my experience friends. We had a great time here and I recommend.
