We took a cab all the way up to where there was a small temple and walked down. Although the cherry blossom wasn't in full bloom yet, the flowers are still a wonderful sight. Love this place which is good for taking a slow walk...More

Beautiful road to the summit lined with cherry blossoms on both sides. From the bottom you can look up the mount and see the zig zag of cherry blossoms through the surrounding green forest. From the top great views of the ocean and surrounding countryside....More

Managed to catch the yaesu sakura in bloom so it was lovely to drive up the the mountain road lined by sakura trees. The light up was disappointing compared to the one in Nakijin Castle but there is no admission charge here.

There are a network of parks and interesting sites going up this mountain! Great spot for photos if you don't have the energy to climb Katsuudake
