One of Multiple Caves

Like many other caves on Ie-Jima this one has some great views and it is a clean outdoor space. Would recommend hitting all the major caves if you have time.

Part of a four stop tour for our family on IE island. 1000persons hid in cave during WWII. There is also a rock if a female can lift, will get pregnant. I took a picture, did not touch it. The entrance is very nice and has stairs down to the cave.

This was my second visit to Ie Jima. This cave is something, I think, everyone should be sure to visit. There is no entrance fee, just the time and cost of transportation. It feels like sacred ground. Imagine 1,000 people living in this place while the island was being shelled during the war. There are still people living on that... More
