This is one of the most beautiful views I have experienced in Japan.
In particular, the view overlooking Biwase from the observation deck on a clear summer day is beautiful, with the meandering river reflecting the color of the sky in cobalt blue,
and the entire marshland in crystal green, creating a contrast.
The observation deck faces north, and the location with the Pacific Ocean to the south is also exquisitely wonderful.
The trip ends with a visit to nearby Kiritappu and the Biwase observation deck, and a meeting with Lupin III's Fujiko Mine at JR Hamanaka Station.

釧路から浜中まで、太平洋側の岬めぐりをしながら、霧多布を目指していたら展望台がありました。海岸の絶景にも慣れてきだころだったので、看板が反対方向を向いてるのに違和感を感じながら、海岸と反対方向を見てみると湿原の大パノラマがが待ってました。ここまでの岬も素晴らしいところばかりでしたが、会っても2、3人。ここは車も多く止まっていて一番人に会いました。晴れている日は必見の展望台でしょう。

霧多布岬を訪れた方は、厚岸まで続く北太平洋シーサイドライン（道道123号線）をお薦め致します。特に琵琶瀬展望台は大湿原や遥か霧多布大橋を望む大パノラマが広がり圧巻です。投稿にもある通り、ここは北海道では最高の展望台のひとつでしょう。

厚岸から車で30分ぐらいで琵琶瀬展望台に着きました。
展望台からは湿原を見下ろすことができました。
振り向くと反対側太平洋でした。

バイクツーリングで寄りました。ステキな雰囲気のお店が2店あります。物産店ふじに入店。とにかく貝がおいしい。おかみさんにのせられて3つも食べちゃいました。ホタテの味噌汁は、アサリ汁並みにホタテ貝が満載！牡蠣のそばは、とにかく牡蠣がものすごく大きくてミルキーで、いままでの人生で一番美味しかった。

だだっ広い丘の上にポツンと展望台が佇んでいます。じぃーーーっと動かず喋らず耳をそば立てると、湿原から鶴の鳴き声が聞こえます。湿原と反対の草地には鹿の群れがいました。ちょうど発情期で牡時鹿の雄たけびが迫力ありました。

霧多布岬の東、無人島が浮かぶ小さな湾が見えます。海食崖と灌木程度の緑、そして夏は海霧が漂う様は道東らしい風景そのものです。華やかさは全くありませんが侘しさを風景に求める方にはオススメできる海だと思います。ただし天候によって見え方は左右されるので晴れの日以外がいいでしょう。

北海道の展望台はあらかた行っているが、その中で一番好きな湿原展望台。
釧路湿原は大きすぎて景色は単調だが、それにくらべ
湿原をぐるりと囲む丘陵、突き出した岬、無人島、大きく蛇行する川
季節によって時間によって、表情を変えるので何度訪れてもあきない。
夏の早朝は昆布漁の船が白波を蹴立てながら一斉に出漁していくのが見られる。
ときどき周囲に馬が放牧されている。
冬は川は見えないが夕日がすさまじいくらいに雄大。
昔あった電線は地中化されたらしくさえぎるもののない景色が楽しめる。
駐車場の回りにはレストランと名産の昆布を売る店があり
ここで買った昆布は値段以上にとても美味しく、それ以来行くたびに買っている。
ただしどちらも休業が多いのが‥‥。
冬は完全休業しているかも知れません。
