Great Onsen, which unlike others in Japan, can be enjoyed together with your wife, without having to split - as most onsens separate men and women into different areas- Food was quite good, assorted local specialities. The bear soup was delicious.

To get there, take Shingansen from Tokyo to Jomo Kogen station and transfer to hotel bus to Takaragawa Onsen. Take indoor bath at the hotel before heading out to the outdoor onsen. Don't forget the towels provided at the hotel.

You will only be given a small towel actually. The woman onsen you can either wrap your self with the small towel or go naked. :D Whichever you are comfortable.
