Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Introduced by a friend, I went to Miyazaki-san's tatami studio to learn more about the process of making tatami. Greeted by Miyazaki-san and his cute little shiba inu, we entered his factory where he began to introduce me to the machinery he uses to craft tatami mats. His agile workmanship was a clear sign that he was an absolute veteran at his craft. After a thorough explanation of the history of tatami, he lead me to experience making my own tatami. I got to say - sewing through the igusa material was tough but doing it in an environment outside of the city, where nature blooms and birds sing, I could not have been in a better place to relax.
Miyazaki-san is a passionate craftsmen with a warmth that is infectious. I look forward to coming back with friends!

Thank you for leaving your comment, Naomi H. I am so glad that you enjoyed visiting my factory and making tatami. I beg your pardon. I replied to your comment late. It is nice to hear that you liked not only Japanese traditional craft, tatami, but also nature in Japan.
I hope you keep having an interest in Japan and its culture.
I look forward to seeing you again! I always welcome you.
