Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is worth the stroll! A very family-friendly location that is open to public. This strip has many hotels along the road and hidden gem restaurants can be found in alleys. A must-see, especially during the spring season!

Went there during the summer holidays twice over the last twenty years and you couldn't see the sand for the amount of people. However, have been going to the beach in September during the long weekend holiday and it is wonderful. Very few people so the beach is really impressive. The water is like sitting in a bath as it has been heated up over June, July and August. As there are not so many tourists, the hotel fares are cheaper, it is easier to make a reservation for lunch or dinner and the overall feel is more relaxed and peaceful. I have been warned about jellyfish, but I have only experienced them one year over the last 12 years I have been going. Highly recommend here out of season. Some great hot springs to enjoy when you are finished on the beach.

We visited during the typhoon — water was rough the first few days but the last two days it was so smooth and great for swimming, snorkeling and finding shells. Beautiful, clean, easy feet washing stations and toilets.

Great, relaxation and beautiful beach. We stayed at Hotel Umisato which has a great view of the beach and wonderful sunset. The hotel offers accommodation, buffet seafood and buffet breakfast for approximately ¥10000 per person. Was really a good price.

The white sand here is absolutely breathtaking, and at least when we visited in September (when it was still absolutely short sleeve and sandal weather) it was nearly empty!

Heavenly calm cove with fine white sand. Irresistible swimming location. Take the time to walk over the rocks. Very clever man made oasis. Sydney’s Bondi Beach without the crowds and the undertow 😊

I booked this holiday as we were travelling and split from them to do a relaxing 3 days at the beach. The forecast was for rain the whole time, but we had nothing but sunshine while we were there. Unfortunately we were hankering for some sun, so all got burnt on the first day. Great beach, and the water was so clear, blue and clean. Went and bought a sun umbrella when w got some lunch from the Daisy which was a god send. Just a lovely relaxing time on the beach with locals and hardly any Gaijin!

White, sandy, artificial?, not too clean. If you’re here anyway, certainly worth visiting, but don’t come here only for the beach. This is where Japanese enjoy summer beach holidays.

Nice little beach which is very clean and has lots of restaurants close by. We were there early July and it was raining and cool so didn't get to swim.

The sun was setting and the scenery is beautiful.
