I visited Killarney twice and I must admit is my second favorite park in Ontario, after Algonquin. This park is not as advertised as other parks that are closer to Toronto, but it is definitely a must-visit place. The landscape and views from certain points are spectacular. Hiking and paddling through the park will leave you breathless. I did all... More

We walked trails for 3 hours with our dryland ski team. Using hiking trails and rock outcrops near sand beaches.

I have paddled up to 3/4 of the lakes during numerous trips in the back country of Killarney over the years. I have climbed Silver Peak twice (awesome climb, wonderfully 360 degree view) and sat near the spot Carmichael painted high above Grace Lake. I have enjoyed every moment I have spent in the park. My last trip in Sept... More

This is one of my favourite provincial parks to visit. With a myriad of lakes nestled among the LaCloche mountains, there's something for everyone. Canoe or hike, take your pick. Clean campsites too.

Stayed in a yurt here at the end of November. The yurt had some mildew or something on the walls inside that was a bit off putting. I don't know if this can be cleaned. It wasn't major but we were a but concerned about our lung health. I got an eye infection the first night sleeping here which may... More

Stunning views and landscapes. Not much more to say. Went for the first time this year with a group of friends and were blown away.

I hiked/backpacked this trail in late October with a friend. My friend actually ran the trail while I hiked. How nice of him to run ahead and get a fire going in camp for when I arrived. Doing the entire trail in this short period makes it nearly like an athletic event. The trail is adequately marked. Seems that nearly... More

This is a great provincial park to visit for 1 or 2 days. My favorite trails: 1) The Crack. 6 km 2) Lake of the Woods. 3.5 km 3) Chikanishing. 3 km Parking fee is C$14.50 per day. You can stay overnight in one motels in Sudbury (~$85/night including tax) or in Killarney for a double price.

We love this park. The mountains, the Canadian Shield, the beatiful scenery, highly recommend seeing the unique bit of Canadiana. Home for many of the Group of 7 works. Check out the hiking trails, especially 'The Crack'. Killarney Outfitters are great to rent canoes, paddle between the lakes, short protages are availalble. If you can make it around to OSA... More
