I hiked/backpacked this trail in late October with a friend. My friend actually ran the trail while I hiked. How nice of him to run ahead and get a fire going in camp for when I arrived. Doing the entire trail in this short period makes it nearly like an athletic event. The trail is adequately marked. Seems that nearly... More

This is a great provincial park to visit for 1 or 2 days. My favorite trails: 1) The Crack. 6 km 2) Lake of the Woods. 3.5 km 3) Chikanishing. 3 km Parking fee is C$14.50 per day. You can stay overnight in one motels in Sudbury (~$85/night including tax) or in Killarney for a double price.

We love this park. The mountains, the Canadian Shield, the beatiful scenery, highly recommend seeing the unique bit of Canadiana. Home for many of the Group of 7 works. Check out the hiking trails, especially 'The Crack'. Killarney Outfitters are great to rent canoes, paddle between the lakes, short protages are availalble. If you can make it around to OSA... More

It's amazing how many people I talk to from Sudbury who have never been to Killarney Park. It's only an hour away and has the best scenery in all of northeastern Ontario. Whether it's the beach, hiking or canoeing, this is the best backyard ever!

What a View, We hiked the crack and I must say, it is worth it! It is about 2 hours each way, but it took us 3 total. Must see!

We have been going to this park for almost 30 years. I love everything about it except that it seems that many people feel the same way that I do: it's busy. But it deserves to be..

The prettiest of Ontario's parks Killarney has the white quartzite hills and clear blue lakes. The lakes are ideally sized for paddling and many portages are relatively short. Hiking trails are marvelous...especially the walk to the "crack". If you don't want to do interior tripping the George Lake campground has many amenities. The park is also close to the qaiunt...
