There are 2 connected rooms with woodwork displays. The smaller room focused on women who carved in the past 20 years or so, about 10 displays. The larger room has 10 to 15 displays of carvings from the last 100 years. That's it. There are more woodwork items in the "museum" store. If you are in Brienz and it's raining or you need to pass a half hour waiting for the train then stop by. Do not make a special trip to go there. Free with the travel pass. I feel an "average" rating is generous.…

To enter you have to go first to the store and is you like to see the museum the entrance fee is chf 5 per head! We decided not to take the museum because it was already late. That it is free with the swiss pass was not even told to us. The shop which is as well a coffee shop is nice but all is pretty expensive looks more as a ripoff than a friendly store!…

I spent several hours in the museum marveling at the quality of the furniture, animals, model buildings, clocks, music boxes, and more, displayed on the 2nd floor. I found everything amazing. There is a gift shop on the first floor, with high quality gifts for sale.The entry was free with my Swiss Travel Pass.Check the hours, as it is not open every day.…

This will be a short review. Traveling from Interlaken Ost to Brienz to takes around 25 minutes by train. I was going to see the Holzberhauerei Museum and the violin school. But first I stopped at the Tourist off before taking the 15 minute walk from the train station. Directions were very simple, stay on the Main Street. Once, I arrived I discovered the school was closed. This day I struck out for both places I wanted to visit.…
