Quite literally - It's a long way up and there are no lifts ;) However, the views are also breathtaking so worth every step!

This tower is built on the basis of the Roman castrum quadratum (III century BC) and was finished in 1349. The tallest tower was an important observation point on Milan, the sourrounding Pianura Padana and the Apennines. The view is still breathtaking! What remains today...More

I love this castle. It is simple, and large, and authentic, and really has been restored in some places, with new displays since I was there before two years ago. The torture exhibit was on while I wasthere, and I am not such a fan...More

The stairs are narrow but worth the climb. The 360 degrees view from the top is awesome. Information about the history can be seen going up.

The highest part of the village gets you the best views and you can imagine how they defended this splendid town many years ago from the rivaling families. Much of the Rocca was destroyed but you can still climb the active tower to the top...More

The city and castle are in incredible condition. It was like going back in time walking the old cobblestone streets. Have a coffee in an outdoor cafe in the old square.
