We stayed in a property on The Parade. Amazing views of the beautiful clean and safe beaches not a speck of dirt or rubbish to be seen. Lovely local cafés, pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this place to couples and families.

We visited this past weekend as a family of 4 and it was my first (and last) time here. I couldn't believe how run down the beach front was. I felt like I had gone through a time warp to the 80s!

Everything needs updating and a bit of love. Such a shame as the beach looked decent. We headed to Clacton instead as the kids wanted to enjoy time at the arcades and as I have to eat gluten free, it was our only real option.

Safe to say we wont be coming back to Walton on the naze.

Love going to Walton beach as it’s nice and quite and not full of chavs like Southend.
Great beach, can always find a place to set up if u go before 10am, even on a hot day.

The pier is shut at the moment for renovation works, it’s much needed as was looking very tired. There is 1 arcade open for kids on the front, so ticks a box if the kids are bored on the beach.
If you don’t take a picnic there is a chip shop next to we’re the bikers pull up, and couple of other eating Establishments close to the front.

we always take a picnic and get fish & chips for dinner before we go home.

Visited bank holiday just gone and only thing that let it down was loads of people walking there dogs on the beach with out a lead. 1 dog decided to have a crap!! right next we’re we was eating and making sand castles (3 young kids). Owner cleaned up mess, but really ruined the experience coming here and this has been my go to beach living in Essex for the past 10 years..

After having a friend who takes her family to Walton and rents a beach hut for the day and always says they have a good time me and the missus decided to check it out.
First impressions of Walton were not good , we parked up the north end and walked down some steps on to the prom , first thing I saw was a huge rat running underneath between the beach huts.
From what we could see of the beach it does look like a nice sandy beach, but really that is all Walton has going for it. There are very few places along the sea front to get anything to eat or drink, and it all looks a bit sorry for itself , the pier was shut for renovations so let's hope things improve.
We go to Felixstowe a few times a year , when we first started going that was looking a bit run down , boarded up houses along the sea front , but now there are some great eateries , lots of kiosks for snacks , the pier has been tastefully renovated . Even though the restaurants are not cheap and cheerful by any means , they are always busy , I think if you are giving people quality food and a reasonable price they will pay for it , Walton has a great beach , it needs to up it's game and then it could be a great day out

The beach is lovely, however although there is A ramp, it is far far too steep for a mobility scooter and leads straight onto the actual beach, soft, lovely, washed sand but completely unsuitable for scooters, walking frames etc. no solid or wooden part for disabled to be able to get close to the beach.

Also, the pavement (along most of which, cars can park) adjacent to the beach, has NO dropped kerbs, so the disabled on scooters have to cross ONLY at traffic lights, which are few and far between.

Nice sandy beach which allows dogs in the winter months. Sadly the pier is closed and only 1 fairly small arcade for amusements. Very little in the town in the way of shops.

Went for a really nice walk along the beach, which I have to say it’s very clean and tidy. Lovely to see two young children collecting the shells that have been washed up from the sea. Interesting also to see the new SP charts which are a real memory time is gone by on the English seaside. Not sure how busy it would be on a warm summers day but suspect it’s a good place to take kids. Little disappointed with the pier which to say the least is somewhat rundown, and the town has also seen better days. My suggestion take a picnic and just enjoy the beach for what it is

beech is very clean and beautiful. worth visiting, very close to the caravan park. plenty of benches are available to sit and enjoy on the roadside. There is a beautiful garden near pier.

wouldn't know what the beach is like couldn't get on it. the water was always on the beach the times that dogs can go on it. and what was left was not worth the effort of getting to it.
