The climb is light but has a lot of weeds and can be slippery at some points. In summer and autumn it is important to take repellent because there is a lot of "zanzara" is always recommended long trousers to walk through the vegetation with thorns and sunscreen. Due to a fire the wooden paths, next to the castle is well deteriorated. Not recommended for those with difficulties or mobility problems. Totally inaccessible for wheelchair users. But everything is rewarded with the magnificent views and the silence of the mountain. The tip is the water source, almost arriving at the entrance of the park, delicious fresh water, invigorates when one is returning from the walk and down there do not forget to have lunch in "La Locanda del Castello"…

We stayed for a week in a homestay in Roccasecca and our host took us for a hike to the castle ruins. It was an amazing experience to be the only people exploring this wee gem. The views were outstanding and the walk was refreshing too. It's a shame that the steps have been burned but it didn't detract from our experience at all. Loved it!…

we went out from villa euchelia looking for some adventure..we came upon this site from adistance then kept looking until we found a road that went up to a arch to go through ..to our surprise there were great steps leading all the way to the top ...great hike...and the views would take your breath away...love standing in the heart of history...and well done access…
