Visited the beach late autumn. It was still almost 24 degrees but beach was almost empty. The shore was strange because you couldn’t hear the waves until you were really near them. Would like to visit again when it’s “more summer”.

Great beach for someone wants to have peace and wants to see as less as possible crowd. I didn’t find it suitable for snorkelling though.

Definetly a good spot where to enjoy a beach day away from tourists. Also very nice Chiringuito Bambu right next to the sea where to eat and have a drink ☺

Far enough from Barcelona to be relatively quiet (apart from weekends) but close enough to reach the city in 25 mins from the adjacent train station, the beach is big, clean and has numerous outlets for food and drinks etc. People with small children need...More

Fun place! Make sure to stop in the shops and bring a sandwich before you go. Also, there are great restaurants on the beach too!

Walked here from Alella. Beautiful golden sands, plenty of space and clean! Bit hot underfoot without flip flops and bring your own shade - definitely needed along with the factor50!

This was the most beautiful beach during our stay. a 30 min train journey from placa catuluna, which basically takes the same amount of time as getting to one of barcelonas beaches. There are hardly any sellers, any people. the waves are cleaner and the...More

Barceloneta was too busy for our liking so we went to Ocata. 30 minutes by train, 5 euro each, round trip ticket, not far away from the train stop. It is not secluded but it's huge so there's room for everyone. There are a few...More

We chose this beach as a bit further out than the busy and dirty beaches in Barcelona. It was very easy to reach on the train out of Barcelona (R1 line) and the beach is right by the station. There isn't much here in terms...More

You can take the R metro train to Ocata station from central Barcelona, the station is right on the beach.
