As mentioned in other reviews this hike is not for the faint hearted but in saying that I am not incredibly fit and made it up just fine. Its a bit of a slog, took us about 2 hours to get to the top and...More

Toolbrunup is one of the highest mountains in the Stirling Range and a good degree of fitness is needed to complete the climb. The trail is well marked and involves a lot of scrambling over and up rocks in order to reach the top. I...More

This is an absolutely fantastic walk, yes it’s hard but the views are amazing. If you are unsure as to whether you can do it, we are in our late fifties, reasonably fit and agile but definitely not super fit. We headed off with the...More

Previously have climbed Bluff Knoll so attempted this one. It was a harder walk than Bluff Knoll as there is a less defined track up the mountain. Got to the plateau and had lunch. Nearly 360 degree views. Magnificent. Due to time constraints did not...More

We trudged up Toolbrunup thinking the rain would clear, but being a mountain it just got worse! A challenging hike which would be stunning on a clear day. I didn't think I would be able to cope with the continuous rock scrambles but you just...More

Was a tough climb, far more challenging terrain and steeper gradient that the class 4's in the park. Lush vegetation on the way up with little windows with incredible views. The summit is only 50m shorter than bluff knoll and so much more rewarding.

This is my favorite hike within the Stirling range. It is tougher than Bluff Knoll, but not as popular,,,and that's probably good since there's not much space on top this mountain. it's like a pyramid shape so the top is really just a pile of...More

If you compare this climb to Bluff it is a much tougher climb which I would not recommend for those who are new to hiking or un fit. There is lots of scrambling over rocks so agility is a must! You get good 360 views...More

This mountain is not for everyone. Must have a good level of fitness and be willing to climb some rocks. Warning sign about 3/4 up and a good checkpoint if not wanting to go further. Be prepared and fit.
