Fantastic tasting experience in grand old country manor, on a long wooden table surrounded by all the awards this winery has won. We were guided through by knowledgeable Rosario who shared the reason behind the success of this winery including the traditional wine making techniques.
Make sure to ask about a tasting to suit your needs and be sure to check out what is lying around in the wine store as you may pick up some back vintage bargains!

I went with a tour group of 25 people for a tour, wine tasting, view of the grounds, and a lunch outside in the back. The staff are friendly and our winery guide spoke flawless English.

The grounds are beautiful, and the lunch that was prepared and served in the back of the property was well presented and delicious.

This is worth 2-3 hours and if you can arrange a wine tasting or special meal then that is great too.

With the trip to de Martino vineyard we had the chance to enjoy the countryside on the way there.
At this time of the year, Fall, is a beautiful sight to see the trees changing colors.
At the Martino's we were served appetizers, & their famous pumpkin soup, but, it was too salty. I couldn't eat it. Too bad.
The vineyard is very nice, we were shown the process of wine making & had the chance to try some of the wines they make.
The installations are very modern, clean & efficient.
Nice hostess.
A very enjoyable visit.

We have been to wineries all over the world, and this is one of the best, certainly the best in this area. Our guide was super in her tour and explanations. She let us select which wines we wanted to taste, including reserves and premiums. The information was informative and interesting and the countryside magnificent !

While we did not go inside, the winery gave us permission to bike around the vineyards. We learned about the re-discovery of Carmenere grape which supposedly was extinct.

this city has a very quiet environment, where all people know each other and has different places and green areas where you can relax and do certain activities.

Isla de Maipo is the right place if you want to get to know the Chilean wine without having to go to Colchagua, the town is very beautiful and peaceful. As for the vineyard, it is very pretty and maintains a classic aspect, the tour that they offer also includes tastings of their wines, the vineyard also has bilingual guides for people who don't speak Spanish. It is an excellent way to get to know the Chilean wine, and just one hour away from Santiago, you can also find good wines at very good prices in their shop.

Visited in December with Bodega Wine Tours for a private tasting. Our hostess was very pleasant and welcoming. This is a large winery and provides a nice contrast to many other boutique (small) wineries in the area. We tasted three wines with crackers. The philosophy at De Martino is to let you figure out what the wine is tasting like to you and whether you like it. They don't initially tell you the type of grape or what you should be tasting. They leave it up to you. Kind of a yumm or yuck approach. The wines we had were all "yumm." We sampled a muscat, a 2011 field blend (red) and a 2015 Cinsault aged in clay pots. The Cinsault was one of the more interesting wines that we have had in ages. The process of aging in clay pots is fascinating. Highly recommend scheduling a visit to this winery if you are in the Maipo valley area.

My wife and I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit many wineries across Chile, some of them with a visitor's center infrastructure way more developed than De Martino. That said, this winery and the tour around it are by far one of our favorites.

The private tour we opted for has a cost of CLP 17,800 (USD 26) for individuals doings a normal tasting (3 wines - 1 standard reserve and 2 premium) whereas individuals just doing the tour pay CLP 8,000 (USD 12).

María Jesús is the woman who pretty much handles the visitor center at De Martino. She is indeed a very knowledgable person on wine but it is very much up to the visitors to ask questions.

As with any tour María Jesús does have an interesting script of what to say while visiting the fields (including a trial pit), the warehouse, the cellar and the winemaking area. However, it is when you start interacting more with her that you get to realize much there is to know about winemaking and the wine business. We felt we learned a lot from her.

After the 1.5 hour tour is pretty much over, you are headed to a tasting room. María Jesús allowed us to figure out the wines by ourselves without imposing her views and what each wine should be. She gave us time and space, which allowed us to enjoy the tasting as a learning experience and/or just as a fun moment enjoying some very good wine.

100% recommended.
