We arrived from Pangandaran and my first impression was that the place is terribly crowded. Another recognition was that women get into the water completely dressed, even with their hair still covered. Therefore, the western style dressed female will feel quite uncomfortable. Bring some leggings along and a T-Shirt to adapt. This might change with more western tourists coming but at the time being there are only a few. We were lucky to have our guide Aweng (+ 62 813-2378-0219) with us who took us further up the river where we had our very individual experience with nobody except of us in the river. The price you have to pay for this is a walk through the bush and climb some cliffs. Later, you meet the others further down the river and end the tour with the crowd again. It is fun, swimming the river, jumping down some small waterfalls and continue swimming.

We arranged a guide who took us on a tour to Green Valley and then the Green Canyon.

The Green Valley is really nice and beautiful. We liked it a lot with all the trees. The water has a beautiful green colour.

From the parking area it takes a walk of 5 or 10 minutes and then you are at the end of the path. Here you can swim through a cave.

After that you can jump from the biggest waterfall of the green valley. It is also possible to swim behind this waterfall. Behind the waterfall you will enter a small cave and you will reach the other side of the waterfall.

Furthermore you can swim, swing from a rope in the water and go with the flow of the water to the end of the valley. Very relaxing. Just enjoy the nature.

On the premises is also a restaurant. We got both sick form eating there so be careful.

Crystal clear water, coming out of a beautiful natural cave, you can swim inside, quite an experience! The whole area is in a really nice setting...but avoid weekends, lots of local indonesian tourists will daytrip out of pangandaran...on a weekday you got the place nearly to yourself!
The entrance fee is very cheap, just 15.000 rp for foreigners (10.000 for locals), at the entrance guides will offer their services, but there's really no need for them, and it's easy to brush them off...absolutely not to be missed when you are in pangandaran (rent a motorbike or bicycle to get there, or make it part of the regular green canyon day tour)

I've been body rafting at Citumang twice, and the second one was with my 6 years old kid. It was a fantastic experience - the river is calm, green-colored, you can relax and enjoy swimming while the jumps on small waterfalls were also fun (!) There are situations, mostly in first 20 meter of rafting where you need to jump from one area to another because you can not simply walk through the rocks or small waterfalls (less than 1 or 2 meter height). Too bad back then i had not yet purchased waterproof camera, which would be invaluable to record the journey.

The place itself is secluded, and you won't see many tourists around. On the journey there your eyes can feast upon gorgeous sighting - paddy rice and mountain at right and left side of the rood.

Once you're done with body rafting, Please ask the local guide to take you to a restaurant nearby (need to take car or motorbike) where you can find terrific, delicious food (fish fry/grilled etc - sundanese food) which are not expensive at all by the way. The restaurant is surrounded by fishponds.

Highly recommended - do not feel discouraged with the bumpy roads !

body rafting like no other. It doesnt require hiking in a long track before you can enjoy the rafting. Beautiful scenery along the stream. If you had adrenaline rush, you can try to jump from 10 meters high or just 3 meters, your choice. It's more relaxing on non-peak season of course. I suggest you to wear decent cloths (not a bikini please), just to respect the local tradition -that look, judging. Don't forget to bring your waterproof camera!

Went For an adventurous trip with my friends. We went from Jakarta using train for about 8 hours, headed toward the well known Green Canyon. However, it was raining heavily the day before and we could not do body rafting (the water is not clear and the tide is big, so its dangerous. So our back up plan was Citumang!

Citumang was a very good expereince the water depth varies from shallow mid to deep level and the current was medium level so its relatively safety to play body rafting!
The water was quite clear and there are couples jump that we can do, you can choose from 8-12 meters level. The body rafting took around 2 hours to finished, it was really a pleasant journey.

The staff in Citumang was really helpful, my friend lost his Go Pro into the deep river, but the crew and staff in Citumang was able to dived in and found it! Awesome people!

Will come back next after we conquered Green Canyon!

This is certainly the place for letting yourself go. You strap on the life vest, you jump into the water and away you go! There were a few places where you had to jump from to continue your journey, but it was all very easy. Beautiful green of the water, of the vegetation. I could have done this for hours!

We did not stay here but spent the day driving through the beautiful land that cultivates padi or rice. It reminded me of the old Bali. West Java is so serene! Beautiful country and even more beautiful people. I could never get enough of the mountains surrounding us on the left and right. I don´t even know what mountains those are! All I know is that it was just awesomely beautiful!

Most people come here to do the group body rafting but we just came on the scooter paid 2400 rupiah each and did our own thing. Lots of fun swimming in the cave and jumping off the waterfall. Well worth the 40 minute motor bike ride from Batu Karas

What you can experience:
- Body rafting in a clean and very beautiful cave and river environment in s rainy forest
- Very pleasant water temperature
- jumping from a water fall
- jumping from threes and rocks
- swimming inside a cave
- experiencing a cave behind a waterfall
- easily accessible (very short walk from entrance, no hiking required)

A MUST for all locals and especially for Expats living in Indonesia. Was one of the top natural experiences we had so far.

Combine this tour wide a scooter ride through rise fields, villages (Kampung) and see the countryside, which itself is a highlight.

We had two tour guides who were really excellent and we would strongly suggest:

Pak Saeun: +62 813 23523929
Pak Hariman : +62 813 95275156

Both on a very good English level.
