I truly enjoyed my recent visit here. It was fascinating to see how the lava flow had changed the environment. Please wear boots which offer ankle support if you walk here.

At the entrances to the Kisula caves is also a campsite. The caves are lavatubes. It is really magical to walk in them (do go by yourself) and at dusk hundreds of bats (horseshoe's and slitfaced?) leave the tubes, which makes for a great spectacle.

I love the giant Bamboo tree that was used by a German woman who was a sniper killer to Britain's who heard killed her husband. It fun when the story is narrated by a local guide Awesome place to visit

Geology and vulcanism is a fascinating subject and this lava tube is a good insight into the enormous forces that helped shape our world. Worth a look when in the NP.
