Like walking through a blooming forest.

This garden is mainly about the trees and what amazing trees they are. Large variety of rhododendrons and the largest specimans of Magnolias I have ever seen.

I cannot imagine why trewithen gardens are rated so lowly on trip advisor. Certainly in mid march there can be few to better this amazing garden for its show of camellias magnolias and even rhododendrons and azaleas which are in flower. This deserves to be better rated than it is.

The whole experience of these gardens is of beauty and serenity. This is not an attraction but a genuine natural experience of a most beautiful garden and woodlands. You are made to feel most welcome to explore this idyllic place. The birdsong is heavenly and to picnic by the sundial overlooking the lake is so peaceful. I have passed these... More

I visited this lovely house last month. The tour was very interesting and informative and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The gardens are extensive but not enormous, and are delightful. The tea room was very good. I had an excellent slice of cake and pot of tea in genial surroundings. The loos aren't easy to find. I had to ask a... More

Ignore any of the miserable blighters who have left negative reviews because this garden is a delight. Beautiful magnolias, rhododendrons, and azaleas in the spring, with bluebells peeking through. There is plenty to see here. No, it doesn't have a massive visitor centre with buckets of souvenir tat to spend your pennies on, but if you want that kind of... More

This garden has a lot of Camellias, Rhododendrons, Magnolias and Ferns in a woodland setting. We visited on a weekday and found the garden quiet and pleasant. The tea room serves lunches and teas, I had a nice cream tea and my wife had coffee and a cake. The toilets are in a separate building some way from the tea... More

Visiting on April 1st, we had missed the height of the camellia, rhododendron and magnolia season. Spring comes much sooner to Cornwall than East Anglia but there were still more than enough blooms in evidence to make our visit worthwhile. This is definitely a garden to visit early in the year although you can at any time marvel at the... More

The gardens were absolutely stunning. Glorious weather and the colours of the plants etc were just beautiful. We stopped in the tea room and the woman there was so helpful with our request for the ingredients in their products which are baked freshly by the lady there. It as reasonably priced and tasted lovely. The only downside here was the... More

I was impressed with these gardens showing off a range of colour and variety in the plants. It is fairly good for wheelchair users with several paths meandering through shrubs set in informal grounds. A delightful and calming area to take in nature at its best.

My wife and I visited Trewithen house and Gardens this afternoon ( bank holiday monday). It is primarily a garden which is at its best in the spring, however it was most pleasant wandering around the garden and enjoying the early Autumn peace and quiet. The guided tour of the house was first class, the lady guide most informative. Altogether... More
