- Alan V1 contributionA great experience for all the familyWhat a special time it was as we met the inquisitive alpacas and walked through the beautiful grounds with them. We received a warm welcome and were treated with delicious coffee and cake at the end of our visit. It was a great experience for all the family.Hi Alan, thank you ever so much for taking the time to leave a review for us and for your visit! It was a real pleasure to meet you all, introduce you to our herd, enjoy a walk and to chat together over drinks at the end. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the experience and would love to see you all again in the future. - John deirAxminster, United Kingdom37 contributionsBest experience ever!We had the most amazing experience last week on our alpaca walk. So I booked with my friend and my 2 children (3 months) (6years old) there was baby changing facilities onsite and your close enough by at all times should you need to use the facilities. My 6 year old absolutely loved it and said this was the best day of half term ever! You got to meet all the alpacas and select which one you wanted to walk! After the walk you got to go into the barn and meet the 2 pot belly pigs and to meet the lady alpacas and feed them, we then sat down to have a hot chocolate with all the extras and the best raspberry and white chocolate cake I have ever had! It’s a really lovely family run business and deserves to get its name out there. I’ve done experiences like this before but little orchard alpacas were so attentive and thought of everything. Would reccomend to anyone - couples, families, friends. If you’re worried about taking a baby to this day out due to not thinking it’s baby friendly think again because it’s a great experience for all ages no matter how young! I will 100% be coming back hopefully very very soon!Hi Tanzy! Thank you so much for taking the time to write and leave this incredible review! I know it can be tricky to find things to do where different ages can be involved and so we do really try and make things as easy as possible - so you can concentrate on the fun parts!! Thank you so much again for your visit and I would love to welcome you all back again soon! Vic is very enthusiastic, knowledgeable & welcoming. Walking the Alpacas was highly enjoyable, wandering through the orchards, letting them munch as they wish & with plenty of opportunity to take photos. It was a leisurely walk around the orchard with the alpacas munching grass on the way. Followed by the most delicious homemade cake and hot or cold drink after and a visit to the alpaca gift shop. - Rose T1 contributionAmazing experience. Will definitely visit again.Amazing morning at Little Orchard Alpacas. We had opted for the Orchard Walk followed by a Cream Tea. Spent loads of time with the Alpacas, firstly meeting the boys who we were going to walk with, followed by a lovely stroll across to and around the orchard, returning the boys to their field and then going to meet the girls. Walk was at a really steady pace so excellent for even people like me who are not at all fit. Then the Cream Tea. Wonderful, freshly home baked scones, 2 types of jam and a great portion of cream (more than enough for the 2 scones per person). Choice of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Nothing is too much for Vic (Victoria). They also have a shop where you can buy a memento from your visit - including mugs with a picture of your alpaca on it! Will definitely go again. Thanks to Vic and her family (incl Tilly the Springer) for making us so welcome.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 25 April 2024
- BeckyNewquay, United Kingdom17 contributionsA wholesome way to spend your day!We had a brilliant time at Little Orchard Alpacas, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. After booking a last minute getaway, we came across Little Orchard & immediately knew we wanted to book in! With no availability on the website we sent Vic a message to enquire about an experience & we’re thrilled by her very quick response. After sending us a link to an updated available slot, we quickly booked in. She went above and beyond not only to ensure we were able to go and meet all the alpacas but on the walk too. We loved being able to take our time meeting the animals and watching all of the alpacas show their individual personalities. Vic was so clearly passionate about all of the alpacas & always had interesting facts to share with us. This is an experience that we’d always wanted to do and we’re beyond happy that we had such an incredible first experience at Little Orchard. We’d definitely recommend the experience to everyone with a love for animals! & we will for sure be back! Thank you so much Vic, we loved every second.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 June 2024
- Victoria H1 contributionYou will want to take them home with you!!🥰I booked our visit as a surprise for my daughters 18th birthday. Vic made us very welcome on arrival. She introduced us to the gorgeous bunch of boy Alpacas. Straight away we wanted to take them all home🥰. I quick talk on handling the Alpacas and we were off. We had a lovely wonder around the farmland, what a beautiful setting you have up their. It was a very slow trek as the alpacas like to stop and eat a lot!! But it was nice and relaxed with no rush to get back. It was Alpaca pace all the way. After the trek we went to visit the girls in the barn. All as gorgeous as the boys. And the pot bellied pigs!! A nice cool drink and a giant slice of chocolate cake to finish sat in either shade or sunshine. A visit to the little gift shop to top off the best time. I think anyone if any age would real love this experience. Will definitely be visiting again. Thankyou☺️Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 19 June 2024

We booked an hour visit with the alpacas for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 6 and 8). Vic was very welcoming and spent time showing us the males, the females, the young alpacas and then Wilbur and Peggy, the Vietnamese potbellied pig. She spent time explaining everything to the children, who adored the experience. After the tour was over Vic offered hot drinks and apple cake which we took in the yarn shop with Tilly the springer spaniel (a darling!). It was a very relaxing experience, we weren’t rushed and were made to feel very welcome. The only drawback is that it was a bit hard to find - but well worth it when you do!

We arrived at Little Orchard Alpacas a little early, Vicky was there to greet us and after having a little chat we went and got our boots on while we waited for the the other people to arrive, there are toilets and hand washing facilities where you park.
Once everyone was ready Vicky took us to the Alpacas and told us all about them, at this point she went through how to hold the rains and what to expect when walking with them, there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
We then chose our Alpacas, took hold and off we went at a very steady pace, Alpaca pace.
The walk is set around the fields with paths mowed and cut out which were easy to follow, Vicky is always there to show the way.
Once we got back to where we started we then went and had a look at the female Alpacas along with the baby. The morning was finished off with home made apple cake and cream along with a choice of drinks.
The Alpacas are extremely well looked after and Vicky is so knowledgeable, with the amazing setting and grounds this made for a memorable experience that we will always remember as a family, we highly recommend giving Alpaca walking a go at Little Orchard Alpacas.
Thank you Vicky for an an amazing morning.

We visited on 30/06/24 with our Granddaughters aged 9 and 7 and their Mum and Dad. A lovely welcome from Vic who introduced us to the Alpacas and accompanied us on the walk around the orchard. The children were thrilled to walk the Alpacas themselves. The farm is in a gorgeous setting, very peaceful and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time which was unhurried, and ended with lovely cake and drinks outside. The shop had beautiful Alpaca inspired gifts. Altogether it was a wonderful experience which we would highly recommend for all ages, and we very much look forward to going again.

What a wonderful way to enjoy these beautiful animals in such an amazing location. Vic was so welcoming and put up with us asking many questions about the Alpaca's and could not have been more friendly and patient. Our granddaughter was a little nervous at first but with reassurance and a little time she soon gained her confidence and ended up being the leader having fallen in love with Jupiter! I thoroughly recommend the visit and walking experience to anyone from youngsters to OAPs like us. The after walk drinks and cake were a lovely way to finish our morning and a pop into the gift shop was also a must do we came away with very happy memories and some alpaca goodies! We will return again as a family and I may also be popping back to get some mindfulness and relaxation in. Thank you again little orchard alpacas you truly are a gem of a place.

Had the most magical day here meeting and walking the Alpacas’s. Such a lovely host and we were made to feel so welcome. The attention to detail was second to none. We got to choose our Alpaca and then we walked around an apple orchard stopping to chat and let them graze. Once back we had time for photos and we chose to sit on the top of the hill under shelter to enjoy the wonderful views. Our cream tea was beautifully presented with an addition of fresh lemonade absolutely delicious. I simply cannot fault anything all I can say is thank you for a fantastic day x

We booked the Orchard walk for the 1st day of our Devon holiday and despite the wet and windy weather Vic and her beautiful alpacas couldn't help but make us smile. Vic was cheerful and informative telling us about her alpacas as we ambled around the Orchard with the alpacas stopping often for a scratch or a nibble on some grass. Vic was great with our 5 year old who happily fed treats to the alpacas, pigs and the chickens too. We were introduced to the boys first and took Magic, Erroll and Flynn for a walk and then popped in the barn to meet the ladies and their cria. Afterwards we had hot chocolates, teas or coffee with huge slabs of yummy chocolate cake to warm up. There is a lovely little gift shop on site too. Thank you Vic and alpacas for a wonderful start to our holiday!

Had an absolutely amazing time at Little Orchard Alpacas, we had a 'Be an Alpaca keeper for the day' booked.
Vic was so welcoming, knowledgeable and so patient with the amount of questions which we'd asked.
Everything was spot on. The environment was so relaxed, set on beautiful orchards and land. Fantastic insight on what it takes to looking after alpacas.
Cuddles with the alpacas are absolutely wonderful too! Would 1000% recommend and can't wait to go back one day!

Hi please could tell me how much the cream tea experience is for a family of 6 (2 adults and children 8,7,4,4 )
Written 9 August 2019
Hi Kimberley,
Many thanks for getting in touch and apologies for the slow reply to this one - I realise this is a long time ago now!
However to anyone reading this question, all our pricing is detailed on our website, which can be found on our Trip Advisor page (unfortunately these questions do not allow links!)
This is the best place to check, as prices are subject to change over time. We currently run our Cream Teas from the beginning May through to the end of August, but do sell vouchers all year round!
Many thanks again for your enquiry,
Best wishes,
Vic
