Axminster Skill Centre is a hub of learning and practical creativity, offering a range of woodworking, woodturning, carving and engineering courses. Our tutors are experienced and well versed in their respective crafts; many of them are professional demonstrators and able to deliver their courses with a clear, informative and enthusiastic approach. Our courses are designed to cater for small groups of no more than five or six students, ensuring each will receive a high standard of tuition and plenty of one-to-one attention. And with their newfound confidence, students often return to build on what they have learned and progress to a higher level of skill.

Excellent course; quite a revelation about just how bad a plane can be when straight out of the box. Included levelling the base, adjusting the internal fittings and sharpening the blade, as well as adjusting the shavings catcher.
