- Jael B4 contributionsBee there or bee squareWe were the first guests of the 2023 season and we are so glad we didn’t miss it, because it was one of the highlights of Kefalonia for us! Thanassis and Eleni were very kind and informative. The passion and respect they have for their bees is extremely contagious. Everything we tried was delicious and you will never look at bee products the same. Do yourself a favor and come to this exceptional apiary, just be sure to call/email for appointment and don’t trust google maps, follow the posted signs.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 April 2023
- SamExplodeLondon, United Kingdom13 contributionsThe bee's kneesWe spent a brilliant few hours here, it was the highlight of our holiday. Thanassis and Eleni are both warm and engaging hosts with great passion for their bees, we learned a lot and had a really fun time. We even got fed some delicious homemade snacks afterwards. Thank you!Visited May 2023Written 6 May 2023
- Graham IDurham, United Kingdom2 contributionsAn awesome experienceRun by a couple who are passionate about bees this makes for an excellent excursion. The three hours flew by as we learnt a lot about bees, and how rhe beekeeper needs to work. A fantastic, safe session where you get close up with the bees. A must see, we absolutely loved it :-)Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 June 2023
- Nicole CoventryNew Ferry, United Kingdom3 contributionsDias ApiaryThis was one of the hidden gems of our stay in Kefalonia. We started the tour being afraid of bees but left having a new appreciation for both bees and the work that goes into looking after them. The couple that did the tours were so informative and passionate about their job and were extremely generous. After having a look at the hives, we were taken to look at the honey making process and then sat around the table tasting the different bee products and honeys. The food and drink that was provided was amazing. We would highly recommend visiting the apiary!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 19 July 2023
- Paula JSouth Shields, United Kingdom4 contributionsThe highlight of our holiday! What an amazing few hours we had at this beautiful place! We visited in 2016 when our children were young and they requested a return visit now that they are teenagers. We were welcomed by Eleni & Thanassis with beautiful home made lemonade while we were introduced to some facts about bees and their lifecycle. We then suited up in our beekeeping gear before visiting the hives. We were able to see the Queen bee, hold a brand new baby bee and learn about these amazing creatures. We then watched the honey being harvested and got to taste some straight from the honeycomb before a tasting session with different honeys, pollen and royal jelly. We then had some gorgeous local nibbles with wine and got to make beeswax candles. Finally we were able to purchase some honey and bee products to take home. We all loved our visit again, the teens rated it the best activity of our holiday, above horse riding, crazy sofas and many other activities! Don’t hesitate to visit, you won’t be disappointed!! Just the most amazing value for money and lifetime memoriesVisited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 August 2023
- LeonL3 contributionsDefinitely recommended! This is a 100% recommendation, if you're even remotely interested in bees, nature or honey. The host is very welcoming and enthusiastic. The bees are how the guides make their living, but it is more than that. They feel, love and care for them. The price/value is amazing as you get the tour, get to make your own honey, get to make a wax candle, get fresh lemonade, snacks, local wine and a honey tasting. We also had nice people in our group which caused us to stay longer. Total trip duration was 4 hours and was probably the best activity we did on our holiday.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 August 2023
- nooney1978Shoreham-by-Sea, United Kingdom5 contributionsFantastic experience do not miss this!Such an enjoyable few hours. We visited as a family of 5 the youngest child being 12. A lovely welcoming couple with such love for their Bees. They made it so interesting and we all learnt so much. It was very hot in the beekeeping kits we wore but they made sure we were stood in the shade where possible and cold water was always on hand. Tasting the honey was fantastic as was the lovely nibbles and wine we were given. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting this lovely island.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 September 2023

This was a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with working beehives in a safe and very educational way. The beekeepers were extremely knowledgeable and respectful of the bees and their produce, showing you how they harvest the honey etc and also how they look after them in the colder months. Highly recommended experience when visiting Cephalonia 🐝🐝🐝

What is the postcode as the trip advisor map does not work and Google map also appears to not work??

London, UK81 contributions
There is not a postcode but where the road that leads to the hives is next to a cemetery. You take the road and at some point goes straight and right. You take the right all the way to the end. Do not be afraid is a bit narrow but you will end up to the house of Thanos and Eleni and the hives. Give them a call. Also from trip advisor if you click on show on map will give you an idea. Do not forget everything is a part of the adventure. I hope you will enjoy. Take care
