Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There were six of us in a party (all couples) that drove the Saguenay Rue du Fjord from Tadoussac to Chicoutimi on the north side and from La Baie to Petit Saguenay on the south side. Our overnight stays were at Tadoussac (awesome whale watching and hikes near the harbor) and in La Baie (nice bay and good stopping point). Activities for us included a 3 hour whale watching trip; picnic lunches along the way; entering the Saguenay National Park at Riviere Eternite (the most rugged & sheer cliff portion of the fjords); eating ice cream at Sainte Rose-du-Nord while watching 2 crazy guys dive 20 feet into the cold water; stopping at a local cheese factory (Boivin near La Baie); staying at B&Bs in both towns; and taking a sunset hike near Tadoussac harbor out to a point to watch Beluga whales. There are many other activities one can enjoy along this route, however we had limited time alloted to the portion of our vacation. I would recommend a longer stay for those people who love outdoor activities.

I was in the Saguenay Fiord to do some whale watching and this campsite was awesome. My tent was at the foot of banks and in the morning with my coffee I sat and watched the whales swim so close by. I didn't even really have to go out on the Zodiac!. Porpoises swimming by and playing white belugas as well. The staff was friendly, the amenities were very clean, showers were large and 0.50 cents gets you 4 minute's at a time. Kayak rentals are available too. The view from these campsites are breathtaking and I would go back in a minute.

We stopped at the visitor center at St. Fidele and found an extremely friendly, bilingual young man serving as a guide who gave us several tips for finding good places to visit in the park. The scenery is great, and there are lots of opportunities for hiking.

The Saguenay-St. Lawrence National Marine Park is a real treasure that covers half the width of the St-Lawrence and the Saguenay River estuary, and Tadoussac harbour.

There are specific rules all boats must follow while in the marine park in order to conserve the environment and respect the whale habitat.

There are many tours available. We took a whale watching tour with Otis and loved the experience.

From the many points on land where you can see the river, you can also see whales, seals, dolphins and marine birds.

Truly magnificent park!!! Great views, lots of wildlife - an experience of a lifetime!

This is a beautiful area giving you an idea of the vastness of the St Lawrence River. The excursion by boat to see the whales is a fascinating experience. Every effort is taken not to disturb these beautiful creatures after all this is their territory.

There are over 20 places you can drive to visit. Some are National Parks, some are Provincial Parks. This a conglomerate system of nature and beauty, not a single attraction. I left from Malbaie. I packed as many places to see in one day as I could. I managed about 4 or 5. Get a good tourist map and plan 1, 2 or maybe 3 days to do the whole circuit. In the circuit, you will find divine hiking trails of all complexity in absolute nature's splendor. You will find educational facilities. You will find many places to observe whales and seals. You will also find some just fine small towns that you will want to stop, relax and observe. The driving in the mountains is incredible with up to 14% grades. Horse power is a good bonus on the way upwards. Good brakes are a must downwards. Shop at a grocery store before the drive because you will not want to stop to eat. The ferry at Tadoussac is fast and efficient. it takes 10 minutes and is essential to cross the Saguenay Fjord. It is also free of charge.

Fantastic experience walking through woodland to the rocky headland. We saw red squirrels in the woodland, grey seals, minky whales and a humped back whale as well as meeting some very friendly people. There was a marine ranger present who was very knowledgable and gave us plenty of information. A wonderful day.

This area is part national park and part provincial park. The national area is along the coast and in the water. The views are spectacular. We visited the Cap de bon Desir interpretation and observation center where there are museum buildings, a small lighthouse, and a rocky viewing area. We saw many porpoise swimming in the water. We also stopped at the Marine Environment Discovery Center. There is a beautiful building with a comfortable viewing area of the ocean. The staff are helpful and friendly and will show a great film of the underwater life in the park. We planned to stop at Pointe Noire Center, but there were so many cars waiting for the ferry that we could not make the turn into the parking lot. Be sure to pick up a visitors guide with a map to help you find places in the park and understand the area. We got a map at an entrance kiosk at the visitors center. We had to ask for a copy in English.

Expansive park that was established mainly to protect the marine environment. It covers many square miles up and down St Lawrence river and up and down the fjord. Mostly appreciated for its sublimal scenery and frequent sightings whales. Most of the whale watching excursions originate from Tadoussac which makes it the ideal place to stay.

This is a nice place to take a hike along the water. Some tide pools and large boulders for the kids to climb. Very pretty spot and free thing to do while we waited. Could do better with the signage to help people find the location and educate them on what they are seeing.
