4.5 stars. This zoo is set among tropical plants, a waterfall, and ruins of old buildings, so it is very scenic. The animals include jaguars, monkeys, raccoons, turtles, iguanas, flamingos, lorikeets, parrots, butterflies, and many others. The animals’ enclosures looked to be a decent size and in good condition. A gift shop sold nice souvenirs. There, I bought local snack foods, hand soap, and a lovely carved wooden bird.

Fun zoo, admission was 17 or 18 euro per adult a far price for the exp. Friendly informative staff lots of cool animals and plants and exhibits to see. Built on an old sugar plantation or processing site lots of old sugar milling equipment around with info about the machines and process of growing and processing sugar on the island. Took us about 2 hours to see all they had too offer.

We were looking for a break from the sun and heat and this was such a great stop. It was very shady and breezy. So many animals amongst the ruins of Latouche dating back to 1643. Wooden bridges, aviaries and waterfalls surround the property. So much to see and was very quiet when we visited.
