Visited the visitor centre as well as doing the Buzzard & Woodland walks. Interesting exhibitors at centre with helpful member of staff able to offer advise & answer questions. Walks themselves were shorter with reasonable paths although steep, uneven and muddy in places so recommend good shoes! Views were stunning and guided points of the trail very interesting. Worth a visit, especially if you don't want to do the full mountain trail.

The visitor center has a large car park that is easily accessed. There was no one manning the center, but there are quite a number of interpretive boards, one of which lists several trails, along with expected duration, that all begin at the visitor center. We soon learned that there were markers in various places with a symbol associated for a particular trail. We chose the Buzzard trail, which was a short, circular loop that climbed partway up the mountain, and then back down again. The views along the way were beautiful. There are quite a number of placed stone steps to climb or descend in both directions. But, it really was not too taxing. I had walking sticks to use if needed just to secure my footing, but my husband needed none.

The Woodland track was absolutely amazing. Stunning views are visible. We're not expert hikers and the difficulty level of this was perfect for us. I'm sure that hikers with a better ability would be more suited towards the mountain trail. The free guide booklet tallied up with the checkpoints along the trail making for a very interesting and informative hike. Would d definitely recommend
