We went to Xinye Village last weekend, it is a typical and not yet that commercialzed Chinese village. Definitely worth a visit. We went to Lanxi by bus and then took a bus to Zhu Ge Bagua Cun. From Zhu Ge Bagua Cun you can take a bus which brings you to a road where you see a sign to... More

If you are making the journey to Zhuge or Daciyun then this is a worthwhile village to squeeze into your itinerary. (Xinye Ancient Village) Very authentic with a long history. This 800 year old village, mostly known as Xinye Ancient Village (新叶古村), and not Xinye Mandarin as titled here, is pretty far away from every where, but is one of the most beautiful Chinese villages I've seen recently.
